Holder, Obama, Clinton , Soros or someone somewhere has the goods on the republican party. That’s the only thing I can think of that has caused most, if not all of the pubbies spines to turn to jello. On this and many other issues. They are all being rode hard and whipped like a rented goalie.

Yep. Kevin O’Reilly is near the center of the storm.

There is a reason they sent him out of the country.

I can find the link on youtube, with pics on the search results, but it contains no video when I go to the link address.

Not sure how that is possible, but I have had content filtered before.

Wonder if what you’re viewing is in your browser cache?

I found the video from several locations on the web, but it appears from here to have been removed at the actual link location. Regardless of who’s site I go through.

OK, sounds like it is plausible. I will have to test that out.

Not sure, but checked again with same results. No video available. Just blank black block where the video should be.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, fired off the letter Wednesday urging the White House to make available Kevin O’Reilly, a former National Security Council staffer who is currently stationed in Iraq for the State Department.

The lawmakers are giving White House staffers the deadline of April 4 to respond, with Republican aides privately saying the back-and-forth could provoke a showdown over executive privilege if the administration tries to shield O’Reilly from talking to investigators.

Issa and Grassley wrote in the letter that O’Reilly’s personal lawyer has told them that he would permit his client to speak to the lawmakers as long as the White House does not object, and they are willing to do the interview by phone to accommodate O’Reilly’s work.

“To date, the White House has not complied with multiple congressional requests to interview O’Reilly,” the lawmakers wrote to White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler. “Our staffers have had extensive discussions with lawyers in your office, who have represented that the White House does not perceive any need for us to interview O’Reilly and consequently will not make arrangements for him to speak to us.”

Issa and Grassley are interested in O’Reilly because of previously revealed emails between he and William Newell, the ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Division.

Administration officials have suggested O’Reilly and Newell were old friends catching up and there was nothing improper about their contact.

In an email dated Sept. 3, 2010 to O’Reilly that referred to Fast and Furious, Newell wrote: “You didn’t get these from me.”

Another e-mail suggested that Newell was trying to go around his leadership to communicate with O’Reilly.

“Just don’t want ATF HQ to find out, especially since this is what they should be doing (briefing you)!”

The lawmakers wrote to Ruemmler that during a congressional hearing on July 26, Newell was unable to explain “why he had direct contact with O’Reilly about an ongoing criminal investigation.”

Issa and Grassley sent a letter Wednesdays to Kathryn Ruemmler, counsel to President Obama, insisting that Congressional investigators need to speak to Kevin O’Reilly, a former member of the National Security staff in the White House. O’Reilly was the man inside the White House who traded e-mails with William Newell, formerly the special agent in charge for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Phoenix field office, from whence the operation was launched.

This column has obtained a copy of the March 28 letter, which notes:

“To this day, Newell has failed to disown Fast and Furious or admit the flawed nature of the program. This failure has raised new questions. Was Newell looking for authorization outside his chain-of-command in order to continue this deadly program? What did O’Reilly know about the objectives and tactics used in Fast and Furious and with whom did he share his knowledge? These questions are germane to the Committee’s investigation. O’Reilly is the only person capable of supplying accurate answers to them.”—Sen. Charles Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa

How can they pressure the White House, when the GOP in the House & Senate don’t back them in public?

Since we last had an exchange I remembered that I had a flash plugin update 2 days ago for my Firefox browser (under Xubuntu Linux). It is probably a flash plug-in issue.

But, that said, I have had content frozen on the web before. I had emails blocked by Yahoo/ATT (not my mail provider) for messages sent through their system. For 6-9 months I could not send an email to my daughter who had a Yahoo email address, if it had an attachment. All I did was try to send an attachment that was a screen capture of a Technorati search. Someone flagged me for that. Nothing it contained was illegal, obscene or criminal. Nothing. My local ISP finally determined that ATT was freezing it.

Have had worse things happen on Twitter. But that would be lengthy to describe.

I thought we were out of Iraq? I guess Kevin 0’Reilly is going to spend the rest of his life there.

Not all of them, there are exceptions. It seems the longer they serve, the less “service” we get from them. Issa has served for a long time. Yet someone I believe is pulling his strings. I haven’t witnessed a bulldog type investigation yet. Imagine if the tables were turned. And we are just talking of Fast and Furious.
Hence, my comments
