South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley may be in trouble with the IRS.
Specifically, the investigation that is currently underway centers on a Sikh temple built by her father, that she managed the finances for as late as 2003. Fraud is alleged in the handling of the contracts.
Palmetto Public Record:
Two well-placed legal experts have independently told Palmetto Public Record they expect the U.S. Department of Justice to issue an indictment against South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on charges of tax fraud as early as this week.
A highly ranked federal official has also privately confirmed rumblings of an investigation and possible indictment of the governor, though the official was not aware of the specific timeframe.
Yesterday, Palmetto Public Record exclusively reported that the Internal Revenue Service has been investigating since March of 2011 the Sikh worship center run by Gov. Haley's father. At least five lawsuits have been filed against the Sikh Society of South Carolina since 2010, alleging that the group bilked contractors out of nearly $130,000 for the construction of a new temple.
Gov. Haley is reported to have managed the temple's finances as late as 2003, and our sources believe any indictment would center on what happened to the missing money.
Democrats have been after Haley since she first took office, alleging misuse of health care reform funds - a case that DoJ dropped. There have also been other ethics complaints by Democrats that seem to break down when examined closely.

if that is true, she can just change her party affiliation to democrat, and the media and (social) justice dept will back off....
Ethics complaints by Democrats since she took office? Sounds like she’s getting the “Palin treatment”.
She may have done a good job as governor, but if she did abuse her privileges as temple guardian, she deserves to be charged.
How might this affect her career?
“How might this affect her career?”
Was it not this Tea Party darling who endorsed romney? Who cares about her career. Although I’m sure romney can set her up a czarship position if elected.
I hope they nail her to the wall.
I voted for her as a Tea Party candidate, but she has gone RINO.
B. 2003? 9 years ago? Statute of limitations?
C. Charlie Rangel and Timothy Geithner
Wow. They had to go back to 2003??? All o the charges were files after she decided to run for Governor (5 lawsuits filed in 2010)??? They are trying to give her “the Palin Treatment”. This stuff is getting really old.
She’s a republican - of course she is in trouble.
Those are civil matters, unless they wrote the amount off as expenses, in which case she will need a Romney pardon big time.
holder is despicable and I hope some day he gets his just rewards...
Maybe this is why she went RINO and endorsed Romney.
Maybe this is what the GOP-e had on her.
I'll beleive it when and IF it happens. These anonymous experts are most likely her Republican enemies in this state. They were almost as vicious and nasty to her in the election than the Dems were. She made enemies while she was in the State House.
Modus operandi for the communist/socialist elite in control of both parties is to attack as early as possible any Republican showing promise. It is easier to destroy a politician early in their career.
Well, she backed the wrong horse. So I actually don’t care.
Besides, it’s been proven she is on the take with the monies Romney tapered her with for an endorsement.
Have fun Nicki.
Tea Party hardly knew yuh.
She's learning the same lesson as others before her. Conservatives don't like those who turn their backs on America, and liberals have no loyalty to those who join them. I assume this is politically motivated by the Obama White House, but I don't have much sympathy for any Romney supporter.
No, she was RINO from the start, wasn’t she? Many just don’t see.
They better put Timmy Geithner on it quick! Oh, now wait a minute...
