Gov. Nikki Haley to be indicted for tax fraud?

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley may be in trouble with the IRS.

Specifically, the investigation that is currently underway centers on a Sikh temple built by her father, that she managed the finances for as late as 2003. Fraud is alleged in the handling of the contracts.

Palmetto Public Record:

___________________________

Two well-placed legal experts have independently told Palmetto Public Record they expect the U.S. Department of Justice to issue an indictment against South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on charges of tax fraud as early as this week.

A highly ranked federal official has also privately confirmed rumblings of an investigation and possible indictment of the governor, though the official was not aware of the specific timeframe.

Yesterday, Palmetto Public Record exclusively reported that the Internal Revenue Service has been investigating since March of 2011 the Sikh worship center run by Gov. Haley's father. At least five lawsuits have been filed against the Sikh Society of South Carolina since 2010, alleging that the group bilked contractors out of nearly $130,000 for the construction of a new temple.

Gov. Haley is reported to have managed the temple's finances as late as 2003, and our sources believe any indictment would center on what happened to the missing money.

____________________________

Democrats have been after Haley since she first took office, alleging misuse of health care reform funds - a case that DoJ dropped. There have also been other ethics complaints by Democrats that seem to break down when examined closely.

Sounds like a case of disgruntled Republican outsiders going after the Governor of South Carolaska!

Didn't they know that doesn't work in the long run, and all you have to show for your efforts is another Leftwingtard corrupt Senator living in suburban Maryland going to cocktail party after cocktail party.

What's missing from the story?

Party affiliation.

Usually the party affiliation is blared out in the headline or first line of the story when it's a republican. A democrat affiliation is, like in this story, never mentioned.

What gives?

OK, I’ll play.
So, which candidate was more conservative AND had Tea Party support during the campaign?
Sorry those of us who voted for her don’t meet purity standards.

Just another phony RINO who used the TEA Party and then slapped its face.

PUBs are not to be trusted. They will sell out Conservatives every time. When will we learn? They are all part of the BOHICA Party.

"Sounds like she’s getting the “Palin treatment”..

The Good Old Boys in the state legislature are out to discredit her. Yet Halley has been her own worst enemy. She has been very inept at covering up her own greed and corruption. She has governed as a big government crony capitalist. Her pledges to the Tea Party during the election have been forgotten. Even if she escapes further legal trouble, she is looking at being a one term governor and can forget about being a future player on the national stage. Conservative potential wasted.

................alleging that the group bilked contractors out of nearly $130,000 for the construction of a new temple..........................

How do you “bilk” contractors out of payment???

Do you not pay them for shoddy work?
Do you not pay them for non-contracted “extras”
Do you withold payment for out of contract billing agreements?

All of the above are solved in civil court or mediation and are not “bilking”

Or did you shake them down for your private piece of the action before a contract was awarded? That could be bilking, but how do these contractors know what was included in her tax return??

Me thinks that this is all political bullshit!

Maybe she should have bought the same version of Turbo-Tax that they sent Timmy!
