Not-So-Smooth Operator

Not-So-Smooth Operator
Obama increasingly comes across as devious and dishonest.

Something's happening to President Obama's relationship with those who are inclined not to like his policies. They are now inclined not to like him. His supporters would say, "Nothing new there," but actually I think there is. I'm referring to the broad, stable, nonradical, non-birther right. Among them the level of dislike for the president has ratcheted up sharply the past few months.

It's not due to the election, and it's not because the Republican candidates are so compelling and making such brilliant cases against him. That, actually, isn't happening.

What is happening is that the president is coming across more and more as a trimmer, as an operator who's not operating in good faith. This is hardening positions and leading to increased political bitterness. And it's his fault, too. As an increase in polarization is a bad thing, it's a big fault.

Noonan absolutely nails it. This is something I have been noticing over the last few weeks. Obama is increasingly, and obviously, being seen as utterly incompetent, a failed President. If the SCOTUS completely takes down ObamaCare, and even more so, it will stamp a gigantic "L" on Obama's forehead. I don't see how blaming the conservatives on the court will play beyond the hard left. Americans do not reelect losers.

Really, he cannot win the coming election. But the Republicans, still, can lose it.

The Stupid & Spineless Party is well on their way to losing to a president who is an epic fail.

But Noonan doesn’t completely nail it. He doesn’t see that Obama’s communist agenda must be attained ABOVE ALL ELSE! Then the relationship with the other politicians and American people is much clearer.

The senior Obama died in a 1982 car crash. Kenyan government officials in those days normally spent their nights drinking themselves stupid at the Pan-Afrique Hotel. Two or three of them would be found with their Mercedes wrapped around a palm tree every morning. During the 1970s I came to know a number of them, mostly British-educated hollow men dying inside of their own hypocrisy and corruption.

This president is, and has been, grossly incompetent.
He brought nothing to the table in terms of real experience, never a mayor of a city, never a governor of a state, two years as a US senator in which he spent most of that time running for the next highest office. It was abundantly clear to anyone paying attention, those that get their input from multiple sources other than the liberal MSM, that he was in over his head from practically day one. Hopefully this narcissistic buffoon will be gone come November.

Hmmm...in 2008 Noonan was orgasming 24 x 7 over her fresh-faced savior, B.H. Obama. Lately, she's trying to get in tune with the direction of the winds. The WSJ should have booted her years ago.

F**k you Peggy Noonan. You are a traitor and personally, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

I wonder if ole Bowel Movement Powell will change his mind too? Nah...it's a skin pigmentation thing.

Shucks, Noonan is on the money, but...really a bit late!!! It’s actually worse then she describes!!! I knew Obama was a failure, a flim/flam man long before he ever became POTUS!!! Anyone with common sense, a little American history background and understanding, objectivity got it right away.

But.....Obama is not dumb, he is cunning, so he thinks. But...really, he is not cunning at all!!! Bottom line is, Obama hates America, all of it!!! His wife, Michelle hates it even more!!! Everything Obama has done is calculated to destroy the American economy, waste money, live like an African/King/Despot does, and finally destroy the USA until it is a backrupt, third world country. And......sad to say, he is succeeding!!!

And.....Black folks and other minorities, if you think Obama is in your corner, you truly are the dullest knife in the drawer. American Blacks have never been worse off!!! This whole Trayvon Martin caper is an attempt to enrage Blacks, so they forget the crappy economic state Obama has put them in. Yep, ole Barry wants the Black folks kept firmly on the economic slave plantation!!! Obama could care less about Black Americans, other then getting their votes.

I mean, this guy, Obama’s mantra is clear as a bell, and...IMHO, any American that casts a vote for him is assuring their own doom, except for the elitist few, the Obama fellow travelers, seeking control, rule, domination, loss of freedom and liberty for the American peole, all of them, and the entire downfall of this great, one and only nation. Worst President in the entire history of the USA!!!
Sad time for America!!! Yet.....we only have ourselves to blame!!!

Ronald Reagan used to say, folks in these United States of America, you are only one election away from loss of freedom and the onset of dictator tyranny. He was right on the money!!!

This is interesting.

Peggy seems to have had a bit of a brush with the devil.

Her devil is the realization that there is something very wrong with her demigod.

Very wrong.

So wrong that now even the "true believers" are starting to see it.

They are starting to range from "what's going on?" to "WTH?" to keeping silent on all his remarks because they are starting to see just how mentally ill The Won, Hussein Obama The magnificent really is.

Events of just the past 10 days have contributed to the shift. There was the open-mic conversation with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in which Mr. Obama pleaded for "space" and said he will have "more flexibility" in his negotiations once the election is over and those pesky voters have done their thing. On tape it looked so bush-league, so faux-sophisticated. When he knew he'd been caught, the president tried to laugh it off by comically covering a mic in a following meeting. It was all so . . . creepy.

Next, a boy of 17 is shot and killed under disputed and unclear circumstances. The whole issue is racially charged, emotions are high, and the only memorable words from the president's response were, "If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon" At first it seemed OK—not great, but all right—but as the story continued and suddenly there were death threats and tweeted addresses and congressmen in hoodies, it seemed insufficient to the moment. At the end of the day, the public reaction seemed to be: "Hey buddy, we don't need you to personalize what is already too dramatic, it's not about you."

Wow, she caught two in a row!

Then she looks back to prior events, seeing that Hussein ignored the very core of his job description and pursued a personal agenda. What she either missed or is not mentioning is WHY he did that.

The president had his mind on health care. And, to be fair-minded, health care was part of the economic story. But only a part! And not the most urgent part. Not the most frightening, distressing, immediate part. Not the 'Is America over?' part.

And she even projects into the future, obtaining the same results.

As a former president he'd be quiet, detached, aloof. He'd make speeches and write a memoir laced with a certain high-toned bitterness. It was the Republicans' fault. They didn't want to work with him.

She has a second brush with her devil as a parting shot.

But we've strayed from the point. Mr. Obama has a largely nonexistent relationship with many, and a worsening relationship with some.

She can see the defect (nonexistent relationship) but does not seem to be able to make the connection to the cause.

It is not that he failed to knit together a relationship with the American People. It is he never really wanted a relationship, he wanted the American People to adore him.

" If you love me, you've got to help me pass this bill. "

Clang... THAT should have been the fire bell in the middle of the night for everybody.

A few more examples...

Didn’t Noonan support Obama? As I recall, she was, at the very least, an Obama sympathizer, which means she has come around to agreeing with the unstable, radical right she is smearing, maybe not about the phoney birth certificates, but about phoney, incompetent Obama, who is a lot like Peggy’s boy Romney. Funny how these flakes blow around.

And so the relationship the president wanted never really knitted together.

I don't think he was ever interested in having a relationship with the American people as Noonan thinks. I think he wanted to fundamentally transform America and it meant crushing Americans and the American Dream as he burned the Constitution.

I think he is a liar, and he reminds me of my brother in law.

My brother in law who: has a degree, thinks he is highly intelligent, and is a hardcore atheist. My BIL is actually a LOSER who works as a paralegal for a slimy lawyer, doesn’t make enough money for my sister and their child to eat meat, drove their vehicle for a few years without changing the oil so the engine blew, can’t open a leatherman utility tool, and throws a football like John f’n Kerry. He is an impotent fool. He even speaks in the same stuttering way Obama does!

So yeah, Obama is an impotent, lying, foolish atheist. He probably smokes weed in the white house. He disgusts me!

I also remember him as the Penguin on the old Batman show (TVLAND). In one episode he ran for Mayor of Gotham City, lost badly to Batman (Batman then got calls from both parties offering him the 1968 Presidential nomination).

The Pengiun, ideal running mate for Romney? Danny DeVito’s Penguin I mean, imagine Biden getting run over by a giant rubber ducky.

All the books written about the creation of economic policy within his administration make clear the president and his aides didn't know it was so bad, didn't understand the depth of the crisis, didn't have a sense of how long it would last.

I read at least one essay that said it was no less than Geithner that warned Obama that this recession was the worst since the Great Depression, but since he wanted to transform America, he was determined to push for Obamacare. I believe it was in The New Republic.

The Great Depression, like now, was a financial and credit crisis based on bad loans.

Unfortunately, close to half of American voters passionately support the European Socialist political model.

Add in our low speed economic recovery and the unwavering support of the MSM, and Obama can easily be reelected.

90% of Freepers, and Rush and Sean listeners KNEW what this guy was all about in 2008. It was easy to see through him. Peggy and her ilk had no clue. They all jumped on the Obama bandwagon

In 2008 he was a marxist who hung out with violent revolutionaries. He was a moslem with no experience and a dubious academic record. We knew it. Nothing has changed.

I would argue that the woman who wrote the great Regan speech about the boys of Pointe Du Hoc has been blown and buffeted by the wind of truth. Her change is not necessarily purposeful or deceitful so much as it is forced by the wind.

That is the thrust of the piece. The winds of change are producing a change of view in many.

Well, I gotta give the Kenyan credit, I didn’t take all that messiah stuff seriously but he really has turned out to be a miracle worker seeing as how he has made me think maybe Bill Clinton wasn’t such a bad president after all. I didn’t think anybody could do that!

Seriously speaking I still think Clinton was and still is disgusting but compared to Obama he was one of the greats. I can imagine one thing that would probably be worse than Obama in the white house and no, I don’t mean Joe Biden, I mean president Pelosi! That woman is a demon escaped from an asylum in hell. I have seen more than one person stand up and sing a solo in church and wondered who told that person he could sing but when Nancy Pelosi speaks I wonder how someone so utterly devoid of sense can actually form words.
