The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites you to join us at our 13th annual freep of the White House Correspondents Association dinner this April 28.
Our theme this year, in tribute to our late fellow FReeper, andrew, is Breitbart is Here.
We are asking participants to wear Breitbart is Here t-shirts and/or carry Breitbart is Here posters for the demonstration.
We will have a limited supply of t-shirts and posters based on the I Own the World design, but you can get your own at Anthem Studios. Proceeds go to a fund for Breitbart's family.
This freep is the most fun one that we do. We get to meet and freep reporters, executives, politicians and celebrities on their way to the dinner. This your chance to tell the media face to face your opinion of how they do their job.
When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012.
Where: Across from the Hilton Washington at Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
Nearest Metro station: Dupont Circle.
Limited street parking. Garage parking is available at the Hilton and a nearby garage.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Ping!
Is there an advance info...
... or DC Chapter "traditional" accomodations??
Thanks...
No Freeper hotel HQ for this one, sorry.
Will do my best to FINALLYYYY make one of these....
What an OUTSTANDING idea, kristinn!
Wish I could be there with you all...will be in spirit from the west coast!
All the very best!!!!
Already have my t-shirt.
Ordered it about 3 or 4 days after he died.
Forgot to add. I am planning on attending.
Go get ‘em, FRiend.
Terrific. See you there!
We’ve been working on this for a couple weeks. In the meantime others have been using the same theme at demonstrations, most notably at the Supreme Court. It’s a fitting legacy for Andrew.
One year, long ago, Barbara Olson asked us to watch her table for us while she fetched her husband, Ted, and Joe Allbaugh.
We also met Jay Leno just outside the bar after the dinner when he performed.
Will do!

DC Chapter Master Ping List
Not sure if Kristinn ping the DC Chapter to this great annual FReep.
[Mr] T
oh boy. would LOVE to get to D C for this. MANY issues to overcome for that to be possible.
Lucky you. Wish I could be there.
Thanks, so much, for this alert. I’m waiting for shirts I ordered.
Have fun guys! Sounds like a blast!
I’ll be there.
Combined General and Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Lets make it the last WCD for O'Jerko.
Love it Helen Thomas was denied a full table.
Always one of the most fun events of the year.
Rats, the Valentine bros have to be in Charleston, SC for a Mandatory family event. Can’t you get the Coorespondents to move the date to the week before or the week after?
I will be wearing my BB T if it ever gets here.
We’ll dial the Red phone.
What did u do with the nuclear football?

Yo, Andrew!!!
Wish I could be there in person, kristinn. I miss all of my DC Chapter FRiends. We have relocated to the People’s Republic of California and it gets lonely here sometimes...
To all freepers who can attend—be there or be square! It’s a good time with no worries about the lefties acting up. After all, the President with all his secret service protection will be at the dinner.
I plan to.
Partly Cloudy
Mix of sun and clouds. Highs 17 to 19C and lows 9 to 11C.
Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 50s.
Hope to be there.

My husband ("zelig") and I are planning to be there on Saturday. If you can make it to Washington DC this Saturday night, please join us!
Please let me know if you have any "stick it to the lamestream media" sign ideas... ;-)
Great news! Hope that weather forecast holds. I think we've participated in two of these fun WHCA FReeps before - rain always seemed to be in the forecast.
We're about 90% sure we can be there on Saturday... looking forward to seeing many DC FReepers there... it's been awhile!
bttt

Hi nutmeg, we went last year, stayed at the Hilton with a room view of the front entrance. It was so much fun! Sat in the lobby to watch the peeps coming in and the bar afterwards to see some of the rich and stupid journalists, celebrities.
We never did find the FReeper bunch, there are so many people out on the street in front protesting or cheering.
Be sure to get a cell phone number of someone so you can find them!
“Breitbart is Here because you’re not”
Unfortunately I have a conflict that requires me to be in Charleston so I’ll “have to be there in spirit.”
It depends on who shows up with what kind of equipment. And it depends on the ever-changing weather forecast.
We LOVE Charleston, SC... would love to go back there soon.
EXCELLENT!
Good deal!
Great. Bring my sign from 2 years ago...Oh, nevermind.
Used to enjoy watching this event on C-Span, but as I cannot bear to see The Kenyan (literally change channel if he appears on TV)I won't be watching this year.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone... it’s been a long time! I think Gathering of Eagles was the last time we were able to FReep with DC FReepers. Wow, that was March 2007. How time flies...
Looks like rain. Drats
WJLA’s Bob Ryan said tonight the rain will move in after the freep. Woo hoo!
Wish I could be there Bump.
May God bless ya’ll.

I had to make up my mind last night about attending the Freep. It was a hard decision, but this ankle just wouldn’t be able to take it. The old “Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” thing?
Hope someone is able to get on line and keep us posted on who you see, who you are able to FReep and what conservtives you were able to speak to.
FReep on!
