Another $17 trillion surprise found in Obamacare
The Daily Caller ^ | 3/30/12 | Neil Munro

Posted on 03/30/2012 10:00:53 AM PDT by Nachum

Senate Republican staffers continue to look though the 2010 health care reform law to see what’s in it, and their latest discovery is a massive $17 trillion funding gap.

“The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected,” said Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republican’s budget chief in the Senate.

“The bill has to be removed from the books because we don’t have the money,” he said.

The hidden shortfall between new spending and new taxes was revealed just after Supreme Court justices grilled the law’s supporters about its compliance with the Constitution’s limits on government activity. If the court doesn’t strike down the law, it will force taxpayers find another $17 trillion to pay for the increased spending.

The $17 trillion in extra promises was revealed by an analysis of the law’s long-term requirements. The additional obligations, when combined with existing Medicare and Medicaid funding shortfalls, leaves taxpayers on the hook for an extra $82 trillion in health care obligations over the next 75 years.

” The projected liabilities to be incurred as a result of ObamaCare are not only unsupportable, even in the short-run, they are entirely impossible without provoking complete economic collapse.”

That was the WHOLE IDEA !!

Perhaps if more legislators had demanded time to do this BEFORE it came up for a vote, it never would have passed. Yeah, yeah, I know.

It does sound like a scheme hatched from the minds of Cloward and Piven, doesn't it?

But here's another possibility: let's say that the Democrats had an alternate plan in case ObamaCare was ruled unconstitutional. Okay - let us stipulate that they in fact have such a plan because they always do.

Remember that scene in The Hunt For Red October where Admiral Greer (Fred Thompson) asks Jack Ryan what the Russian captain's plan might be along with the admonition, "The Russkies don't take a dump without a plan, son"?

Well, the same goes for Democrat politicians. They live for politics. It's in their blood and it's all they know. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that Plan "B" is for Obama to run against a "rogue" Supreme Court, while pushing for what he and his pals have wanted all along: a single-payer, government run health care system.

Considering how big the bill is, it’s not that surprising. It would take six months just to read it, a hell of a lot longer to analyze it.

He can try, but most Americans don’t want any part of Obamacare, so it won’t fly. I expect that Obama will ignore the SCOTUS anyway, because nobody in our Party will speak up
on....on ANYTHING!!

The whole thing was if everyone pays we all pay less. Well, everyone doesn’t pay. Someone has to pay for those waivers!

Including me.. The week after Obamacare passed I received a letter from my health insurance company that my monthly rate is going up immediately by 10%. Then, a few months later, another letter at year end stating that on Jan 1, my rate is going up another 20%. Two more increases since that time.. Before Obamacare, my monthly premioum for good health insurance was $450. Now it's $750. That's about a 70% increase. Nice, huh?

If Obama tries to ignore the Court and no one in our Party speaks up, then it will not be “our Party” for very much longer.

$17 trillion?

That'll pay for more than 29,000 Solyndra type ventures.

...... OK ..... the conservative talk show hosts (Not the media) had a great time last week making light of the cost of ObozoCare doubling to 1.7 trillion smackers. Now .... I’m no mathamatician but doesn’t this now make the estimated cost at around 1700% more than the original estimate?

We have a communist America-hating street thug in the White House, committing almost daily atrocities, and assults on our Constitution, and nary a peep out of our House & Senate.
After 58 years on earth, I thought I had seen pretty much everything, but this is mortifying to me.

1) Obamacare

2) Fast & Furious(pre-meditated murder-by-federal-govt.)

3) Pretending to build pipeline(to nowhere)

4) Trayvon the Son

5) Payoffs to all of his friends, right under our nose!!

6) Apologizing to all of our enemies.

7) 40 Marxist/Maoist Czars

8) Allowing the Black Panthers to put a bounty on a private citizen

I could go on typing here for 2 hours, and that wouldn’t cover it.

The hard left(now in complete control) has always stated that if you control healthcare, you control the people.
What if Obozo decides that if you own a gun, you pay a 50% premium? Far-fetched? Not with THIS POTUS.
