"The GOP is falling in line behind the all-but-inevitable nominee, but they're doing it with gritted teeth and a sense of obligation. Coming up with nice things to say about Mitt Romney is hard, even for his supporters.

As Romney enters what seems to be the home stretch of the primary campaign, the Republican establishment is rallying around him. But the scene is less rah-rah than obligatory, with heavy sighs all around.........."

Right! He came on the scene ‘in the lead’ with ‘the most favorite’. And he was pushing himself as a conservative! Then came he isn’t conservative enough or us!! Such a farce with their propaganda - he is a LIBERAL and doesn’t belong as a candidate in OUR election.

I wish Newt would run as an independent. This R election was a set up to begin with. But if Newt ends up supporting the POS by default, I’ll write in SARAH.

Re your post #8, I agree that Mark Levin is the only talk show host worth listening to at this point. I quit listening to Laura Ingraham the minute she endorsed Romney, for example.

I know that Limbaugh hasn’t endorsed anyone but I cannot stand to listen to that conceived blowhard anyway.

He hasn’t cheated on his wife, and he only looks a little like Herman Munster.

Sorry, that’s all I can come up with.

Me too, Sybweck1.

It’s only Levin from now on.

I am going to have to turn off talk radio for the next eight months minus maybe Mark Levin, so I want have to here the syrupy suck up to this guy.

I feel the same way. I will not listen to any conservative talk show host shilling for Romney.

I remember in 1992 Rush making the point character matters when going after Bill Clinton. Now, 20 years later, we may end with a nominee whose record is to the left of Clinton and who lies, flip-flops and uses the same sort of smear tactics.

Yup, we’re about to nominate the guy who laid the groundwork for Obamacare. How dose he run against it when he basically invented it?

He's betting that SCOTUS will negate any need to do this. He may well win that bet, but making it demonstrates that he's *NOT* presidential material, his "nice" hair notwithstanding...

>> I wish Newt would run as an independent.

The wind has withered behind every candidate’s sail. But I’m looking forward to Newt’s resurgence regardless of how improbable that may seem.

I recognized it was a lost cause three months ago, and haven’t listened to talk radio since. *Sigh*
