Oh boy...let's run the guy who lost to McCain last time to run against the guy McCain then lost to. Great plan. I love that plan. What could go wrong with such a great plan?

Here's one problem: By the time obama and company finishes spending $1 Billion doing to Romney what Romney did to the Republican primary field, obama, dirty tricks and all, against "Let's hold our noses and vote for Romney!" will end with an obama landslide.

Which will give obama both a popular MANDATE and a second term with no fear of another election.

Yeah, love this plan.

There are people who sadly think Romney has a chance and they are going to ignore everything you just said.

It will all hinge on the debates between Oblamer and Mitt.

If Mitt can make Oblamer look like the fool he is, then Mitt wins.

If Oblamer manipulates and character assassinates Mitt like most sleazy democraps do, then Oblamer wins.

I have a feeling Mitt will hit hard on issues like free markets vs. socialism. Any Mitt doubters cannot deny that Mitt’s business acumen is far above a loser President who hasn’t run a company in his life.

Obama will look like a simpleton when discussing economics vs. a business guy like Mitt.

I really think the debates will change the game at some point. Recall how Reagan made some key soundbyte wins in the debates and then there was no looking back for Reagan?

The only difference between Rommey and Obama is Mitt will slow the Socialism Express Bus down to a mere 100-mph before he drives America right off Freedom/Liberty cliff instead the of 200-mph that BO is currently at.

===”Could you point me to the post that led you to believe anyone was suggesting that any republican should be voting for Obama, because I can’t find it.”

A conservative not voting at all out of pride (e.g. “I won’t vote for a RINO”) is one less vote to fight Obama.

The real question is do conservatives want Obama or a RINO. Two choices, folks.

I wish Cain was in the running.

MandateMitt, the fascists’ desperation candidate. And if selecte-nominated, should his poll numbers drop vs The Undocumented Fake, watch for the desperation file to be pulled out, forcing The Undocumented Fake to step aside.

I understand the need for you to hope for that type of conclusion to this problem, however, there is nothing in Romney political career that would lend you or I hope that this is plausible.

We know what Obama is all about- an American hating Marxist.
We have to get him out of office, and get his minions out of key positions in the Fed. Govt. and stop him from appointing more left wing justices.

We have to play the lousy hand we are dealt by the Republicans. Staying home and not voting is giving the go ahead to the Marxists to destroy this country.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face is OK if it's just your nose that is involved. Unfortunaely we are talking about further getting our Constitution thrashed, and our great country, military, and Supreme court put into shambles with 4 more years of Obama and his high placed minions.

So I suggest not cutting off your nose, just hold it and vote against Obama. - tom

Sorry, but I can't vote for someone who is as left-wing, who is constantly lying, who will destroy the GOP if he was elected.

And frankly, Mitt can't win, he'll be destroyed.

I'll spend my time in more productive manners supporting those down-ticket who are actually republican AND conservative.

There are three more that don't involve dishonoring yourself as a conservative:

1. Vote Third-Party
2. Write-in
3. Leave it blank.

You, I, and everyone else who is even slighly informed KNOWS that this will occur and that the media will be screaming it 24/7 until the election.

Like I've been saying, Mitt Romney is toast before he even starts.

"How did you arrive at the jackass assumption that anyone was promoting that nonsense?

All the ranting about Romney, as he moves closer to the nomination, makes the Repubs look stupid. If you wish to scream about every error he has made (and is still making) you just help the Dems program. Face it...Newt is dead. Santorum can't get over the hill. Paul is kook. Now, what jackass comments would you care to spew?

You know it! Unlike Romney, Sarah Palin is warm, charismatic, easily likeable and very, very popular with every day Americans who see her as one of their own and look how they went after her!

Does anyone truly think Gaffmaster Mitt "I like to fire people" Romney has a chance against them?

The guy who strapped the family dog on the roof of the car for a 12 hour road trip to Canada is the guy to run against the obama machine? Seriously?

The guy who has spent MILLIONS nationally trashing the very people he needs to campaign for him against obama??? This is guy republicans and independents will vote for??? Okie dokie.

Sorry, he's your candidate, not mine.

He'll never get a vote, primary or general, from my family, my friends or myself.

And the only thing making the Repubs look stupid, is nominating such a left-wing, Progressive Liberal like Romney.

This is what will help the Dems because Romney is the only candidate that guarantees an Obama re-election.

On the money assment of his weaknesses. Except for # 3, he won the Florida primary, only Northern Florida is “southern”. Much of VA and NC aren’t “southern” anymore either and the parts that are really really hate Obama as do all the other southern states that any Republican is certain to carry even if a few ultra-protestants won’t vote for a Mormon.

Mormon is not a plus outside of helping with Mormons in Nevada and Colorado and running up the margin in Utah but I don’t think it matters much, most people don’t care. Obama is probably an athiest.

We’ll know much more after Wisconsin votes. If Romney wins there, I don’t see how he loses the nomination.

I don’t like Mittens, but he could still defeat Obama. I think that Americans would take the advice of the late Mae West: “If you have to choose between the evil you know and the evil you don’t know, try the one you don’t know. It might not be so bad, while the evil you know is evil for sure.” Or something like that.

Just as I thought (this is about ego & pride, but not pragmatism).

I’m just trying to get you to understand that your 3 options:

“1. Vote Third-Party
2. Write-in
3. Leave it blank.”

ARE ESSENTIALLY A VOTE FOR OBAMA!!...

Those 3 options amount to THROWING AWAY what would have otherwise been an ANTI-OBAMA vote.

What’s difficult to understand about that?

I’m not so fond of Newt or Santorum — and Romney is going to be another target for liberal racial profiling (he’s a rich white male that they love to “profile”).

BUT my discontent with those 3 candidates is NOTHING NEAR my discontent for Oblamer. So I vote for the non-Obama.

I urge you to reconsider your flawed logic.

...Or maybe are you a plant here for Obama??

Obama doesn’t need to thank me - the republican party does. I am tired of them giving me candidates who are not conservative. I will not vote against my conscience again.

Well, please tell us, who will they vote for if the Repubs nominate Romney? Ross Perot?

“I don’t know how things work out but I’m smart enough not to root against the only guy, at this point, that can eject Hussein from the People’s house.

“Getting rid of Obama is what matters. It’s the only thing at this point. My personal preferences or your personal preferences for a nominee and a president are over. It will be Mitt so are you for him or are you for Obama?”

What’s the difference?

For most of us, it’s not Obama the person who we despise, it’s his liberal policies. When the alternative is no different, most voters fall back upon the beer test. That is, which candidate would I prefer to sit down with over beer and watch the game (or in the case of evangelical voters, sit down with over coffee).

I could see myself sitting down with Obama at the local pub and and watching a basketball game over a pitcher of beer. As for Romney? He doesn’t drink beer (or coffee).
