(CBS News) Vice President Joe Biden said Florida's "Stand Your Ground" gun laws will be a topic of debate in light of the controversy surrounding the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
"It's important that people be put in a position where their Second Amendment rights are protected, but that they also don't, as a consequence of the laws, unintendedly put themselves in harm's way," Biden told anchor Bob Schieffer in an interview to air on "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

Not in Texas dummy Joe.
This would be the old Standard Oil station owned by the Martin family!
For a long time Rich's dad was the only black man in DC to actually own a gas station ~ he'd stood firm against a company buyout even when the city government (with a black mayor) was trying to force all the independents to undertake ruinously expensive modifications.
Brings back old times ~ and the Martin family was in the headlines.
NOTE: Way back when I first came to the DC area you could get an efficiency condo apartment (One room with kitchen, toilet and balcony) in the Watergate for $12,000! By the time I got out of the Army (which had slashed my income to levels where I couldn't even pay a mortgage like that) the same condo unit was selling for $120,000. Today a unit like it, with no river view, is going for $240,000. You add a full bedroom to that the price jumps OVER $500,000.
Exactly. The "Black Liberation" revolutionary communist movement's objectives are basically identical to those of Charles Manson via his "Helter Skelter" scenario.
Charles Manson's Helter Skelter:
"Helter Skelter would begin, according to one of Charlie's devotees, 'with the black man going into white people's homes and ripping off the white people, physically destroying them. A couple of spades from Watts would come up into the Bel Air and Beverly Hills district...and just really wipe some people out, just cutting bodies up and smearing blood and writing things on the wall in blood...all kinds of super-atrocious crimes that would really make the white man mad...until there was open revolution in the streets, until they finally won and took over. Then the black man would assume the white man's karma. He would then be the establishment'..."
"Charlie and the Family would survive this racial holocaust because they would be hiding in the desert safe from the turmoil of the cities. ... Afterwards, when the black man failed at keeping power, Charlie's Family, which they estimated would have multiplied to 144,000 by that time, would then take over from the black man and rule the cities."

In 1969, Ayers and his wife convened a "War Council" in Flint Michigan, whose purpose was to launch a military front inside the United States with the purpose of helping Third World revolutionaries conquer and destroy it.
Taking charge of the podium, dressed in a high-heeled boots and a leather mini-skirt her signature uniform Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against "Amerikkka" and create chaos and destruction in the "belly of the beast."
Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a "fork salute" to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the "Tate Eight" (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:
Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victims stomach! Wild!

Susan Atkins, one of the killers, writes Pig on the houses front door, in Sharon Tates blood.
"When police arrived at the LaBianca murder scene, they found various words written in blood. On the living room walls, there was "rise" and "death to pigs." Carved into Leno LaBianca's stomach was "war." Alone these seem to give no clue, but another writing on the refrigerator did. It was the incorrectly spelt "healter skelter." This led some investigators to believe the writings may have been influenced by the so-called "White Album" by the Beatles which included the song "Helter Skelter." Another song on the album, "Blackbird," used the word "arise" which may have inspired the bloody use of "rise."
The phase "death to pigs" was likely inspired by the Beatles' song "Piggies." Had police made the connection, they would have realized that "pig" was used in the previous murders at the Gary Hinman and Sharon Tate houses. At Hinman's, bloody writing said "political piggie" while "pig" was written at the Tate house."
"Their founding document [the Weather Underground's] called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism."..."-Berger, Dan (2006). From the New York Times, August 24, 2003
"they [the Weather Underground] employed revolutionary jargon, advocated armed struggle and black liberation and began bombing buildings, taking responsibility for at least 20 attacks. Estimates of their number ranged at times from several dozen to several hundred."

You got that right!
"Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal".--James (Jim) Cone,

SEAN HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"
WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.
HANNITY: But I'm a reverend
WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?
Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology."
Although it [The New Black Panther Party] says it sees capitalism as the fundamental problem with the world and revolution as the solution, the new party does not draw its influences from Marxism or Maoism as the original party did. Instead, in a carefully-worded, roundabout form of ethnic nationalism, they say that Marx based his ideology and teachings on indigenous African cultures, and that the NBPP therefore need not look to Marxism or Maoism as a basis for their program, but can look to ideologies that stem directly from those African origins.
"The Justice Department originally brought the case against four armed men who witnesses say derided voters with catcalls of "white devil" and "cracker" and told voters they should prepare to be "ruled by the black man." ..."
One poll watcher called police after he reportedly saw one of the men brandishing a nightstick to threaten voters.
As I walked up, they closed ranks, next to each other, the witness told Fox News at the time. So I walked directly in between them, went inside and found the poll watchers. They said theyd been here for about an hour. And they told us not to come outside because a black man is going to win this election no matter what.
He said the man with a nightstick told him, Were tired of white supremacy, and he starts tapping the nightstick in his hand. At which point I said, OK, were not going to get in a fistfight right here, and I called the police....

Shock Photos: Candidate Obama Appeared And Marched With New Black Panther Party in 2007:
The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.
The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.
Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?
(the autopsy states she was raped. Dont think all of these animals didnt all participate)
And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?
Theres a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.
WHERE ARE THE CHARGES OF A RACIAL HATE CRIME??
90 year old husbands jaw broken and shot in face with a BB gun numerous times?
85 wife year old semi blind wife RAPED and BEATEN to death??
Why does it take a foreign press to enlighten America as to this henious crime?
Where is the outrage?
I'm worried now - no doubt Americans shall heed his every word.
Biden is clueless...as usual. (BTW, the Urban Dictionary definition for for “unintendedly” is: A word constantly used by people of dim wit who cannot spell and who refuse to use any form of spell check to correctly identify the word unintentionally.)
"Never let a crisis go to waste." And if no crisis is handy, create one.
Think of the many, many ways this "crisis" can be used/exploited. First and foremost, it distracts us from: high gas prices, obamacare at the SC, etc.
They were looking for some current event they could use and chose this story. If that wasn't the case, the coverage would have been accurate from the start instead of creating the narative/crisis.
And, the dribble of new facts coming out about both the case and the coverage slowly changes the story and continue to keep it in the news.
Otherwise, it's unlikely this would have even risen to a nation story. I heard it on a more liberal talk program days before it took off, so it could have been massaged and pumped up for mass appeal/consumption before being injected into our news cycles.
This is such a great teaching opportunity to understand how the progressives manipulate us.
Wish Breitbart was still here to be a part of it. I bet he'd be having a great time taking it apart and rubbing their noses in what they're doing!
Beyond disgusting. Pansy, agenda-driven, leftist media.
Not only is this about gun control, but, I believe its an effort to win the state of FL in the upcoming election. Why else would they focus on this rather than the shooting deaths that take place on a daily basis in Chicago.or other crime-ridden cities?
This crime, like the torture/murder of the college couple in Tennessee, and many other recent crimes, is utterly heinous and depraved. How do we make the msm cover these, though? They’re just not going to, it would make people start asking questions about just who is committing the majority of crime, especially violent crime, against whom. The msm is not reporting about “little Trayvon” because it’s a heinous and unusual crime, they’re only doing it to advance the meme of “racist whites murdering innocent black youths”, and it’s amazing because just the opposite is the truth and the reality.I wish at least Rush would talk about this, he’s got a large enough and mainstream enough audience that it would make a difference. But nobody in the msm will do it, not even on the right. The indoctrination is so deep and the PC gag so tight even our supposed “independent and fearless” thinkers don’t realise it.
To these fools, breaking wind could spur a gun laws debate.
Dear Mr. Biden, let me explain something - if government has no liability for failing to protect me, it can have no authority to prevent me from protecting myself.
