How can JesseJackson and AlSharpton be called Reverend?

It truly amazes me as to how anyone call either of these men Reverend, considering how they act, tell lies and create race wars?
Shouldn't a REVEREND ACT like a Man Of God?

Well, if one wants to get pedantic, no human should be called “reverend” because it literally means someone to be feared as God should be feared. It’s a title of God per Psalm 111:9.

The same principle applies when MLK is called "Doctor."
Sorry, but you're wrong. Dr. King was awarded a PhD in Systematic Theology by Boston University in 1955. His thesis was A Comparison of God in the Thinking of Paul Tillich and Henry Wieman.
Dr. King earned the honor accorded him.

What you say about a master’s degree is generally true. But every school has the option to decide under what conditions and in what way it will award it’s degrees. My parents had friends who were awarded bachelors and masters degrees by colleges and universities without actually completing their degree work, because their studies were interrupted by World War II. My dad was 4F because of a disastrous leg fracture suffered during boyhood. He had to earn his degrees the old fashioned way. I can still find his thesis at the school from which he got his master’s.

How can JesseJackson and AlSharpton be called Reverend? The internet is an amazing marketplace (phony degrees for instance). How about drivers' licenses and fake ID sold on streetcorners in border cities? Sometimes people give others "honorary" titles as well. What religious or charitable acts have either of these men done lately? Is agitation something any religion (besides the one with fatwas and sharia law/honor killings) sanctions?
