Cheney Family Spokesperson: Former VP Up and Walking

A spokesperson for the family of former Vice President Dick Cheney says he is "doing great", and is up and walking less than a week after receiving a heart transplant. Kara Ahern says Mr. Cheney has been making a lot of phone calls to family and friends.
Mr. Cheney also received a great deal of mail from people all over the country during his time at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Ahern tells Fox News, the former Vice President has been calling people he doesn't know personally, "perfect strangers", who have sent in cards and notes wishing him well. Ahern says, "most of them are shocked when he [Cheney] tells them who is calling."

They force you to get up and walk. I had an operation and asked for a urinal and was told get up and use the bathroom. The next day I asked if they could remove the morphine and the water tubes because i don’t like needles - they tossed me out of the hospital.

Amen to that. America was blessed to have this wise and decent man opt to give years to help our nation survive. In spite of being the target of some of the filthiest propaganda I have ever read, Dick Cheney wore out his heart, but he never gave in. A grateful nation prays for his recovery.

Many folks voted for idiot Bush not because of the idiot he was/is it was because of his choice of Cheney as his VP should Bush had dropped dead. Cheney would have made an excellent president.
