Go to Cspan.org and watch the 3 GOP candidates speak at the Wisconsin Faith and Freedom Rally. Do you agree with me that Newt Gingrich knocked out of the park, while Santorum continues with his whining how he is better than Romney and Romney tells stories about senior citizens who cannot retire? Believe me, we may be in trouble with either Santorum or Romney. Newt would beat Obama in a landslide.
I agree....I’d like to see Newt and Perry...damn right we’d get stuff done.
Definitely! They both have good, sound ideas and the knowledge and determination to carry them out.
Correctamundo! That was his best ever.
Give Newt the nomination. He will grab Hussein by his Marxist throat and never stop squeezing.
You can forget it — it would be too good to be true.
The Republican electorate is more liberal than what it pretends to be. Their overwhelming choice of Romney proves it.
“...He will grab Hussein by his Marxist throat and never stop squeezing.” Thanks, you made me smile!
Newt can give some stemwinders when he’s on his game and talking real Conservatism.
Ping for later viewing. Heading out to my two Great-Grandsons birthday party. Oldest is two today and his brother is one tomorrow. Two of the sweetest, cutest, boys you ever saw. Not that I am prejudiced or anything. :-)
“The Republican electorate is more liberal...”
I’m convinced it is as well as the country regardless what Rush says; or, maybe it’s more ignorant/uninformed than we’d like it to be.
Those words are as applicable and appropriate today as they were when Adams first penned them!
On June 9, 1776, John Adams wrote from Philadelphia, "Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measures in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us . . . ."
On June 11, a Committee was formed to develop a declaration of their intentions.
On July 4, 1776, a lengthy Declaration of Independence was adopted which changed the world! William Ellery, Rhode Island, later wrote that he stood where he could watch every person sign the document: "I was determined to see how they all looked as they signed what might be their death warrant. I . . . eyed each closely . . . . Undaunted resolution was displayed on every countenance."
What a contrast! Our ancestors, in less than a month, took the kind of courageous action that leaders who love their country take on behalf of liberty for "millions yet unborn," accomplishing in just weeks what no civilization had accomplished before.
Today, feckless pretenders to leadership, living like kings in previous monarchies, personally risking nothing, make excuses for inaction and allow the precious inheritance of freedom to be risked for the sake of political power.
Who will emerge to bring excitement and enthusiasm of America's youth to the cause of liberty?
Who will risk all on behalf of "the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn"?
2012 Presidental election will take place on August 24th or shortly later as with Newt as nominee, we will have a new President; without Newt, we have 4 more years of Obama or longer.
We don’t have to wait until November.
After all, those tyrannical ideas cannot stand exposure to the light of reason. Such notions must be hidden in promises of "goodies" from "government" and masked by semantics and a hugely engaging smile, once they have been applauded.
A candidate whose focus is on "issues" like "jobs" (critical as they are) must possess something much deeper--a principle, if you will--which gives voters an "ah-hah" moment, if he is to reveal Obama's arguments to be the shallow and desperate attempts of a power-hungry wannabe ruler.
“Believe me, we may be in trouble with either Santorum or Romney. Newt would beat Obama in a landslide.”
I completely agree. Santorum served us well in PA, but I don’t think he could win in the fall and I am convinced that Romny will be another Dole or McCain.
That's what you mean, right?
There is no overwhelming body of people behind him ~ not the worker-bees, not the rank and file, not the elderly, not the young, not the Reagan Democrats, not the Catholics, not the............
They had to cheat to get Romney across in Virginia.
I'll just have to assume you had an invisible (/s) in there somewhere.
...He will grab Hussein by his Marxist throat and never stop squeezing.
Graphics Department......please pick up the white phone!
I’ve got the image in my mind, but lack the talent.
Yes.
The alternatives are very depressing indeed.
Exactly. How far we have fallen from where our Founders were at.
I’m disgusted by the mewling I see here on FR by the people who think we have to roll over and accept Romney otherwise “you just help re-elect Obama.”
1: Romney would be little different, so it’s not like it matters, and
2: These people are such fearful bootlicks that the concept of actually trying to put together a broad-based conservative alternative to the dicephalic single-party system we have right now is anathema to them - they’d rather sigh and resign themselves to socialism by one means or another than do anything that might resemble heavy lifting to try to do something about the situation.
GIVE ME NEWT or GIVE ME NOTHING.. ( which is what Romney & Santorum are )
Wow! What a pick me up speech! Too bad the rino’s are supporting obamney who is buying the nomination. Newt just doesnt have the money to compete and his competition is weak. Hoping obamney can be stopped from getting the delegates. We need a contested convention, Pray to God!
WELL SAID!
Arrogant Newt imagines himself as a modern George Washington destined by God to save his country.
I agree.
Mark my words. In November, our country will greatly regret that it did not support the one real conservative candidate, Newt Gingrich.
In the following weeks and months, the head Skittle, Obama.... will bring us all to our knees... or worse.
“GIVE ME NEWT or GIVE ME NOTHING”
Agreed.
I will watch this country burn to the ground before I would cast a vote for either of those morons.
The calling everyone a RINO reminds me of one of the greatest jokes ever, by Emo Philips —

Sooner or later we’ll point at our closest pal and shout RINO! If this keeps up. I donated to Perry then Santorum, and this election, like 2008, my yard sign will have only the Pub VP candidate’s name on it.
PS I also donated to Newt.
Newt and Perry...damn right wed get stuff done.”
I would pay a whole lot of money to hear Perry tell the leaders of Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia and other countries, “Adios mo fo”.
Here’s the link:

Newt’s segment starts around 4 1/2 minutes in.
Not a teleprompter in sight.
At this point, if the RNC insists on carrying out it’s attempt to nominate the Mormon Melchidezek Bishop MYTH ROMNEY, a degenerate coward from a family of military service avoiding degenerate cowards, it must be destroyed, and the GOP along with it.
Rick gives so many speeches that he can’t be stellar all the time. He’s had only three days off in the past year or so. I wish everyone could hear Rick Santorum speak as he did at the Pa. Leadership Conference on March 24th. He was on fire! It was one of the most moving speeches that any conservative could hope to hear. He (and Cain and Gingrich as well) proved themselves to be not merely GOOD candidates, but GREAT candidates for President at our conference. Bob
Same here!
Newt’s my first choice, but I’ll vote for Rick if Newt drops out. He’s a basically grounded, normal human being, which is not the norm for a politician (unlike, e.g., Romney.)
BYW, here’s Santorum’s speech at the PA Leadership conference you referred to:
How right you are...today’s voters are grossly uninformed. The founding fathers would be ready to fight another revolution.
GO NEWT!
His speech gives hope where I’d almost given up all hope for the future. It’s probably false hope since Romney doesn’t have the knowledge or conviction to accomplish anything great. The potential doesn’t even exist in Romney. Still... maybe America can survive. —sigh—
Ping for later..thanks!
As Much as I hate to say it, Willard did well also, but Rick sounded like an amateur compared to these. Kind of missed the comedy relief of wRong Paul, though.
You betcha. That would be awesome. But the first ones in line to vote no would be the RNC, most of the Republicans Representatives and Senators, FOX News presenters, and Dick Morris and Carl Rove from the establishment. Of course, we would expect that from the Democraps and the Devil but it does not speak well for those that don’t accept what comes with having an (R) after your name.
good grief - talk about out of touch with real Americans - we know Mitt is ignorant of what it’s like to be a regular citizen, that he had always lived in a rarified bubble and never rubbed elbows with the common folk.
But he’s dumb enough to admit it and tell us about some real people he has met in the campaign and how astonished he is that they have worth -
The rest of his talk is just boiler plate rhetoric - unlike Newt, no steps lined out as to how to achieve any of the things that need to be done.
Plastic man...
Lord, Save us from obama - but not with THIS numb nuts -
Godspeed, NEWT!
I attended this conference and heard the speeches in person. I agree with your assessment, except that I thought Santorum was better than so-so. But, he did look tired. (Who wouldn’t with the schedule he’s keeping?)
Gingrich was spectacular, except that he always has Calista at his side bobbing her head up and down and clapping her hands at everything he says. Nobody else had his wife on stage. It looked dumb.
Newt was excellent on many levels. While he had kind words for Newt and that he’s served with Rick for years; I respectfully disagree with Paul Ryan’s endorsement. Romney seemed lost looking for applause lines and sounded a bit horse. Santorum I had to shut off.
Ive been off this forum for more than 40 days. Probably no one has noticed or cares. I left after the Florida primaries. Newt was my guy. Each time he opened his mouth it was a learning experience. Unfortunately the majority of repubs and conservative media hounds saw it differently.
Have given up alcohol and red meat for Lent along with shutting down the TV esp the news outlets including Fox. Havent listened to Rush during this time and alas havent read or posted on FR until this AM.
What have I learned? My friends, Ive learned what weve expected. The media, from all sides, bombards us 24/7 with their propaganda. This includes Rush, Hannity etc.
Secondly, nothing really newsworthy has happened during this time. So, again, Im glad Ive focused on my own spirtual reawakening instead of that which is focused in the media, and even here.
The only thing important is what we do each day to ourselves and those around us.
I have no respect for the likes of Ann Coulter and even Michelle Malkam has let me down. ITs clear that the story is and will always be about them.
This country is in trouble we all know that. All we can do, is in are own little way make each day brighter for someone else.
I think of this daily and even more now with the start of Holy Week.
I don’t want things done. I want things undone.

Romney for Obama in 2008
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Where’s Joeprobono when you need him...
