She later declined his first request for a date, saying it would be inappropriate. However, Mr Obama persisted, and the couple has been married for nearly 20 years.

In a 2009 interview with CNN, the first lady said that Mr Obama took her to a showing of Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing.

‘Probably, by the end of the date, it was over,’ she said. ‘I was sold.’

Camera whore Shelton “Spike” Lee played `Mookie,’ a lazy pizza delivery boy with a bad attitude. He was instrumental in inciting a riot which resulted in his (white) employer’s pizza shop being burned to the ground.
His employer and his two sons are Italian-Americans in NYC’s `Bed-Stu’ a largely African-American neighborhood, with photos of famous Italian-Americans on their shop walls.
The black kids aren’t happy that there aren’t photos of African-Americans in the shop and that one kid in particular is not allowed to play his boom-box at volume 11. So they riot.
With the shop still smoking, `Mookie’ confronts his employer and demands his last paycheck.
