Wise up, EV!

Vote against Obama in 2012 so you can work for a Real Conservative in 2016!

If you don’t help us rid ourselves of Obama, you likely will not get a chance to vote for anyone, ever again!

I quit believing in “somewhere over the rainbow” Republican promises about future elections or future adherence to principle quite awhile back, old FRiend.

Experience is a tough classroom.

I remember the writer of this article Noelle Nikpour was on Hannity early in the primaries shilling for Romney when Newt was at the top of the polls. She said Newt was too old like McCain and that he would look bad in the debates because he would look like he was "talking down" to the younger Obama like a mean schoolteacher. So that's the level of analysis you can expect from her.

Overestimating Romney

More evidence of voters’ coolness toward Romney came in a recent Public Policy study, which took snapshots from 13 states both early and late in 2011. In all 13 states, he became less popular as the year progressed. Even more telling were Romney’s negatives—which increased in tandem with his name recognition. As Romney began campaigning more actively, voters became less favorably disposed toward him.

I hate mittens. but I hate Obama more by a factor of infinity. Does that help?

It may help you feel better somehow, I guess. But it doesn't change the fact that there are millions of Americans who are never going to vote for either socialist liar.

To those who want to get even with the republican establishment by destroying our Country during the period 2013-2016:

After 2008 I suggested that we back conservatives in the future primaries (senate, reps and presidential candidates). Well, we made progress in the House, we have a chance for the senate this time but we haven’t learned how to nominate a conservative presidential candidate yet.

We sure as hell don’t want to give Obama and his pal Vladimir more flexibility and some here think it’s okay to put another communist judge on the SC. I sure as hell don’t want to see that happen. I want to remind everyone that we’ve just run out of chip$ (thanks to Bernanke, Keynesians & all of the Obama communist czars).

If you care about our kids (and I do care about them) then unite to fight to save the country from Obama.

We can unite after we have this out in Tampa.

The Establishment needs to have their ears pinned back on the national stage. They WILL know that they do not hold the power of the nomination any more.

Your excellent reminder of building up and electing conservatives at the local and state level — though they usually hit a brick wall dealing with D.C. (and are removed or absorbed once they come in contact with the Federal Government) is always timely.

Is reassuring Obama’s re-election best scenario for the USA?

Voting is a civic duty is it not? How does throwing a tantrum and taking your ball and going home because you didn’t get your way beneficial to the country? I thought that part of being an adult or a good citizen was sometimes having to make decisions out of less than perfect options.

Yes, I have heard all of the arguments. NO MORE!! blah, blah blah. Or the better one, someone like Newt or Romney will make things worse and then it will get blamed on the GOP.

Those are all strawman arguments. One, I do not think that Romney could be worse than Zero. I definitely don’t support him. But if given the choice between him and Zero, I choose Romney. At least with him there is a snowball’s chance of getting something done to fix this mess, even more so with a GOP House and Senate. With Zero, there is no chance, no matter who controls the House and Senate. Not to mention the fact the we WILL lose the SCOTUS for a generation or two. And we know that Romney is a US citizen and does not hate this country.

Obviously, we all need to support our candidate in the primaries. But in the general election, we MUST be rid of Obama. If not, we can all pat ourselves on the back and gloat about how “principled” we are as the country we love circles the drain.

Besides, I do not know why sitting out the election if the “right” candidate (whatever that is) is not nominated considered the only position of principle. My position is also one of principle, defeat Obama. When I vote against Obama, I will be doing so with just as much principle as the person who withholds their vote because they didn’t get their way.

This is nothing personal towards you, it is just so frustrating to see this sentiment so prevalent on this site. Do you think the average voter thinks this way? They will vote one way or the other. If true blue Conservatives won’t support the GOP candidate, why should they? In the end, politics is the art of the possible.

You have to hand it to liberals and Fabian Socialists for one thing. They understand incrementalism. They seem to be smart enough to understand that in the real world you usually don’t get everything that you want in one fell swoop. Why can’t Conservatives understand this?

The answer is that Romney’s not a conservative.

You did not argue that he is a conservative, so I can only assume you agree me that Romney is not a conservative.

The proper response is to fight for and create a conservative alternative. It is not to vote for a radical liberal who promotes $50 abortions and anti-freedom mandated buying.

Not disagreeing - but i wont be one of them.

Even if romney has a 1% chance of being better than obama and doing the right thing - its worth a chance.

The answer is that Romney’s not a conservative.

The question is: What is Obama?

Romney is a crony state corporatist. (That makes him a national socialist.)

Obama is an elitist world socialist. (That makes him fancy himself one of the dictators of the proletariat, a communist.)

So, you get to choose between Benito Mussolini and Joseph Stalin.

What exactly would be "won" with Romney?

2-3 Supreme Court Justices. Do you want obama to appoint them?

Of all the justices nominated by Romney not one has ever been a conservative.

We are talking about the Supreme Court here. I believe that it will be to our benefit.

Would you rather have obama appoint them?

Romney’s appointments to the USSC would be just as bad as Obama’s.

Romney is just as liberal as Obama.
