If we get another 4 of ZERO we as a country are screwed to the hilt

Ridiculous nonsense.

This Republic was mortally wounded with the imposition of universal suffrage.

Another 4 years of a communist in the WH isn't anything compared to that.

Translation for the simple minded:

We are doomed, this doesn't get fixed at the ballot box, both parties suck, and it's time to start from scratch and reset the Republic.

Trust God. Do the right thing.

"If, to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God."

-- George Washington

"My principle is to do whatever is right and leave the consequences to Him who has the disposal of them."

-- Thomas Jefferson

One of the good things about being a FReeper, is that there are so few of us.

If you do a quick list of posters, there are several hundred regulars, with another several thousand that post on occasion.

The site claims hundreds of thousands of visits {over some period of time, I'm not sure of the time frame} and yet the regulars know each other by their posts.

Of the regulars, there are about 150 {quick count, not scientific} that claim they will jump into boiling oil before they will vote for mittens.

I am not one of those and fully expect to be banned from FR because when mittens gets the 1144 delegates needed, I will then proclaim the unspeakable, and post that I will vote for the pubbie nominee, regardless of race, color, gender or religion.

If that is a a ban-able offense, then it's been a great run for the past eight years, good luck to all.

In all candor, I was hoping to change you mind and convince you not to help Obama win in November. But, I am not going to be able to do that. You've quotes from the Founders and “God” in your pocket.

But come November 6th please do not bemoan Obama’s victory and what it means for freedom in this county. Have the guts to ask yourself “what did I do?”

Godspeed and enjoy the day.

Respect. The reality of having a 5th leftwing supreme court justice sworn in under a 2nd Obama term and having the 2nd Ammendment “retried” again and functionally nullified is beginning to set in. Considering Romney would probably nominate another David Souter type, it almost seems hopeless no matter which way we go.

What do conservatives need to do?

If the Kolobian is the nominee, the Republican Party needs to die and we can start from scratch.

It's dead now, been dead for a long time, but it does not go away. People are too busy working to pay taxes to support the welfare state, and then keyboarding in their free time, to do any real work in this regard.

You won't be when Obama's finished with us. Doesn't this concern you ....?

As dangerous and destructive as four more years of Obama would be, the abandonment of all principle by those who call themselves "conservatives" is infinitely more dangerous to the survival of the republic.

It means I don’t vote for socialists.

In a general Presidential election a person's vote is the sum of your vote.

It is for someone and at the same time against someone.

If you vote third party or don't vote at all, you are denying the positive choice and affirming the negative choice.

As an anti-communist {which every conservative claims to be} whether you want to admit it or not, a vote for the third party candidate, equals a vote for obama and a vote against mittens.

Sleep well and when the second revolution starts, get with the other side, you helped put them there.

So, do you have any principles left that are not subject to sacrifice on the altar of perceived political expediency?

You are right. After four more years of Obama, this country won’t BE America anymore. Those who are willing to let Obama win the election had better have a plan for how to prevent his grand schemes. If you won’t stop him at the ballot box, then what?

Voting to insure the ouster of Comrade Obama is "infinitely more dangerous to the survival of the republic"?!

Are you serious?!

Never mind ... of course you are. You're PRINCIPLED! :^D

‘If we can’t get united over getting rid of the worst president EVER - - - - - - - - - - Then we are stuck on STUPID. . .’

Agree, except ‘the worst president’ should be changed to
‘the worst illegal occupier of the oval office’. Even Chester Arthur was not so bad!

I’m with you. I hate even thinking about it, because Romney turns my stomach (see my posting history as evidence). But Obama detests America and will destroy this country given the chance. No matter how much of a boob he might be, Romney does not, and will not.

Hang in there Brother, we have all had our days on this forum, and I agree with your analysis. Looking at sites like Drudge, who has over 32 million visits per day, 850 million per month, and 11 Billion visits per year, it shows what happens when a site generates interest.

When I first joined this forum, the threads were huge, and participation was massive. Fund raisers only took a few days to complete. And there was a strong sense of civility and unity. It was actually fun to visit here.

Lately, it seems like the most cynical, rude and vitriolic personalities dominate the political threads. I spend most of my time defending myself against all the deep personal attacks that follow my opinions.

Oddly enough, I am still here. But is is getting more difficult to listen to these malcontents rip the throats out of anyone who simply has a different opinion than they do.

Let me ask you this:

If your choice is between:

1. The most liberal president in history.

2. The most liberal governor in history.

3. Someone who agrees with every single item of the political agenda posted on the home page of Free Republic, and who has a twenty year track record of resolutely acting on that agenda.

Who do you vote for?

Haha.

I hope Newt and Rick stay in and force a brokered convention.

At the same time, IMHO it’s important for us all to begin contemplating how indeed we can - once whomever wins - find the common ground to unite against one foe.
