Bloody rampage sparked by disrespect at Miami-Dade wake

The mass shooting that killed two people and wounded 12 others near North Miami began with a perceived sign of disrespect at the wake of a man who had jumped to his death from a shopping mall parking garage.

The act of reaching into the casket to touch the body of 21-year-old Morvin Andre escalated into a deadly conflict among gang members who opened fire into a gathering of mourners.

They had gone to the Funeraria Latina funeral home Friday night to grieve for Andre, who had died March 16 after jumping from a parking garage at Aventura Mall. The remembrance of his death turned into one of the bloodiest public shootings in recent South Florida history.

The end of Andre’s life was traumatic, but in a different way.

He had tried to use a stolen platinum American Express card to buy something — possibly a belt — at Bloomingdale’s, according to Aventura police. Store employees suspected credit-card fraud.

Andre took off, running into the mall’s parking garage and then up a stairwell to the fourth floor. From the floor below, employees called out that they just wanted to ask him some questions.

Instead, Andre jumped. It was a 22-and-a-half-foot drop.

If Obama had a son, he would be a dumbass.

Falling 22.5 feet won't kill you.

Now, when you hit the ground, that's another thing entirely!

A punk trying to use a Platinum Amex? What a dumbass. Any remorse over this gangsta slug is wasted. He saved the world from future murders IMO.

The Miami-Dade medical examiner ruled his death a suicide

The ME is an idiot. A suicide is an intentional act. This guy wasn't trying to kill himself, he was trying to get away.

His death was an accident, the result of a very bad decision.

So where's the outrage, where's the riots and storming of Wallmart and liquor stores?

For the record, I would consider a group of people opening fire on the crowd of mourners at my funeral a sign of disrespect.

I’m really surprised a Primative Baptist Church agreed to do the service.

If he didn’t know Christ (and his actions indicated he didn’t) he busted the doors of hell wide open.

New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church. Primitive part is apparently accurate.

Instead, Andre jumped.

Be great if anyone remotely associated with this spectacle, from family members, to the funeral home staff, to the printer of the ridiculous program, followed suit.

Instead they will all be out voting in November.

“Falling 22.5 feet won’t kill you.

Especially if you go head first.

Seriously, if he made a clean landing on his feet, he might have suffered foot/ankle and/or leg injuries. In all likelihood, the landing area was not conducive to a clean landing and he probably did end up striking his head or breaking his neck.

From the article - "Andre took off, running into the mall’s parking garage and then up a stairwell to the fourth floor."
Four floors have to be higher than 22.5 feet. You'd think one of three "journalists" on the byline would get the facts straight.

These gangbangers should learn to get a little self-respect before they start shooting each other up over getting disrespected. The only reason they feel disrespected is because they have no self-respect. For all the purported toughness that gangsters attempt to project it’s so funny how fragile their egos are, and they meltdown like creampuffs over the most casual slight whether real or imagined.

“Exactly the same as Liberals.”

Exactly. That’s why the liberals are so into this political correctness nonsense and speech police crap because if they sense that anyone does not exactly mirror their world view they have an existential crisis and ego meltdown.
