Audio experts hired by the Orlando Sentinel have determined that the person screaming for help on a 911 call is not George Zimmerman.
A woman called 911 to report screaming outside her house. In the background of her call can be heard the panicked cries and the gunshot that took Trayvon Martins life...

Owen said:
You can say with reasonable scientific certainty that its not Zimmerman.
He got the screams, put those together, and cut out everything else. Software then compared that audio to Zimmermans voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, hed expect higher than 90 percent.
Smells like NBC to me.
I don’t think it makes any difference
I hate to suggest it....but the screams might have come from an apartment....and not the fight between the two guys.
But if you notice....he only comments that he doesn’t think it’s the Latino guy. He doesn’t say it’s the kid.
So basically this leftist audio expert says it is a 50/50 chance the screaming is Zimmerman.
Why did you even post this here?
I suggested on another thread yesterday that at some point both men screamed. What they have on audio is not the entire altercation.
OK lets compare his voice to the one where he’s calmly talking on the phone to the one where he’s getting his head beat on the concrete and his face punched in. Ya think there might be a problem with that? Hell they ought to here my voice change when I step on a hairball barefooted! Pinch his snutz with a pair of pliers and they might come up with a better comparison.
Go to the ABRE website http://www.abreboard.us/ and find:
* Owen’s daughter is on the board.
* These guys think a BA (bachelor of the arts, i.e. a 4-year degree) is a big deal worth putting the initials after your name as if you are really cool by having one.
* “The American Board of Recorded Evidence (ABRE) is an Advisory Board under the American College of Forensic Examiners (ACFEI).”
* The copyright of the site lists ABRE, ACFEI and a “Dr. Robert O’Block” as owners.
Go to the ACFEI site that is helpfully linked and it amounts to a for-profit place that sells “certifications” and titles like “Fellow” and “Diplomate”.
http://www.acfei.com/diplomate_fellow/
Next, go to the Dr. O’Block’s site, also helpfully linked, and the real laughs begin:
An international publisher and prime mover in forensics, psychotherapy, homeland security, and integrative medicine, Dr. Robert O’Block laid the foundations for open, comprehensive, and educational associations for professionals in forensics, integrative medicine, criminology, investigation, psychology, and spiritual psychotherapy. Dr. O’Block, a pioneering academic, founded the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, the American Association of Integrative Medicine, the American College of Forensic Examiners International, the American Psychotherapy Association, and The Society for The Cure of Souls.
Just LOL!
My take is that this Owen guy is full of self-made “certifications” that sound good to a dumb jury.
My “screaming for my life” voice is slightly different from my “answering the phone” voice. I’d say about 52% different.
You should here my step on a hairball voice, not qwite as high as my stepped in cat yack barefooted voice,
Any Freepers that want to help, meet me at the Sanford Ace hardware at 10 sharp today.
“Smells like NBC to me”
You would be right. From their “about us” web page for this audio “expert”:
(Senior) Mr. Owen has appeared as a Consultant to ABC Nightline, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX 5 NY, NPR Radio, NOVA, Taipei, Chinese Television, Dateline, 60 Minutes, Law & Order, Forensic Files, CSI, CSI Miami, Lie to Me, Access Hollywood, 48 Hours, 20/20 and other Networks and Television Programs.
Of course not. He doesn't have a voice comparison for the kid. So there is no way he can say it was the kid.
The expert's standards for sample size and content aren't met. By his own standard, he can't render an opinion one way or the other. So what's he do? He renders an opinion.
This expert would not be allowed to give this opinion in court. His opinion, by his own admission, is unreliable. And so the trier of fact will turn to other evidence to figure out which of the two men was at physical disadvantage in the fight. I'd say the injuries to Zimmerman make that factual finding a fairly straightforward one.
Rule 702. Testimony by ExpertsIf scientific, technical, or other specialized knowledge will assist the trier of fact to understand the evidence or to determine a fact in issue, a witness qualified as an expert by knowledge, skill, experience, training, or education, may testify thereto in the form of an opinion or otherwise, if (1) the testimony is based upon sufficient facts or data, (2) the testimony is the product of reliable principles and methods, and (3) the witness has applied the principles and methods reliably to the facts of the case.
We here in central Florida wasted entirely too much money on Casey Anthony.
It was obvious that space aliens killed her little girl and tried to blame it on her. Luckily we got a jury of bright scholars that saw the truth. . . .
At the very beginning, was it not the Orlando Sun that chose to pair the angelic child photo of Martin with the old arraignment mug of Zimmerman so that image would be propagated by the entire lockstep leftwing media - to brainwash the public with the party line on good and evil?
It is the Orlando Sentinel.
They probably are the ones. I don't read their paper and I don't have a bird cage so I have no need of their trash.
They are so left wing the will only hire left handed people.
