With all the usual caveats about early polls in play, the generally reliably trending USA TODAY/Gallup Poll has seen a rather abrupt turn in the battleground states over the past month among one demographic. Women.

He’s winning the free government contraceptive, free government abortion vote.
51% - 42%.
Getting uglier by the day. But... defeat is what the GOP e wanted. And they know what’s best for us.
Would love to know demographics of this poll.
Assuming Mitt is the nominee, I am voting for him. He was not my first choice, but he is light years ahead of Obama.
Unfortunately, to some women, especially single ones, government is Daddy, Husband, Lover and Provider all rolled up into one.
Romney will be crushed, like a bug.
A vote for Romney will be a wasted vote.
wait till the Dhimmis make a switcheroo in September.
Hillary as VP will give the Marxist Manchild from Kenya another term in office...because of the said ‘Woman’s Vote’.
I would bet money on the VP switch.
I am not surprised - Most of the women I know don’t like Romney - they say he comes across as a stereotypical used car salesman - with a plastic smile and “smarmy” attitude. First time my wife saw a bit of one of the early debates - she came right out and said something made her uncomfortable about him.
November 2012 will again be another case of the GOP intentionally throwing in the towel.
USA TODAy/Gallup? Not so much.
The game they play is, they try to shape public opinion months out, then right close to the election they get accurate, to claim 'reliability'.
It's agitprop.
Women. Can’t live with them, can’t ship them to Canada...
Women are “wired” that way.
The ‘rats and their mentor, Satan, knew what they were doing when they destroyed the support structure called “marriage” and “family”.
The title should say “Boosted by SINGLE AND DIVORCED women voters...”
light years? hardly. Does he sit to the right of Obama - yes. But in practically consecutive seats.

as wrong as Ann Coulter is about Romney....she is unfortunately right about woman suffrage.
Another media poll that oversampled democrats by almost 15%.
Bingo - a lot of the women I know politically are mostly selfish, self centered, ditzes who only care about abortion, birth control, etc.
Wait... RomneyCare already gives away all the goodies doesn’t it?
What else could the GOP offer for free? sex?
I think the poll has an excessive sampling of rat women - but I don’t know how women break down into party overall - thought I read yesterday that it was something like 2 to 1 rats v republicans.
Why do they keep calling these free contraceptives? Someone is paying for them. And are rat women so gullible that they’ll vote for a guy who is killing us at the pump, thermostat, grocery store and job market - not to mention the little matter of national security, just to get “free” birth control???
True, Mitt did sign Obamacare into law long before Obama did...
That's what I'm thinking, too.. I don't see any chance of him defeating Obama. That's why I think nothing is lost by promoting a conservative third-party option. If not now, when??
Women don’t want sex with Romney. He has small hands.
Most women that I know hate Santorum.
Either way Amendment XIX should have been repealed long ago......
This is good, right? No Romney, no way.
True, Mitt did sign Obamacare into law long before Obama did...

"Ping! Pow!"
If these women don’t like Romney they sure as heck aren’t going to vote for Santorum. obama’s little birth control scheme seems to be working. I think republicans need to do some intense opposition research into obama’s donors. the candidates need to start talking about all the dirt that’s been coming out on him. Make him look like the crooked chicago politician that he is.
Any GOP candidate will be crushed like a bug. We have to face reality that we will have 4 more years of dumbo.
He won't even need it. He's got the women's vote locked down regardless. Hillary will likely look to 2016, age notwithstanding.
Saint Rick would lose even worse.
The social issues bs makes me want to scream. Birth control? FNG really???
Women voters in general are easily scammed.
I sure feel like I wasted my vote when I voted for mcCain.
No odds on that bet! That which we have greatly feared is now upon us.
Back when I foolishly took the very serious question of Constitutional Eligibility very seriously (unlike the GOP, The Court, my state's election officials, and my elected Republican representatives)... my sucker bet was that Hillary was going for the top spot, as per plan.
IMNSVHO, the Dems now see that their best shot is again the Mombasa MF, with Hillary in the #2 slot. Women + Minorities + Fraud. Put Queer icing and "Urban Unrest" on that. That's the ticket!
Unfortunately, we will never know. They have taken to not including that information. Among polite society, this is known as LYING.
Ditto.
Repeal the 19th amendment.

GERALD CELENTE nails it on women voters and obama.
“Women. Cant live with them, cant ship them to Canada...”
No, but we can import better models. :)
Sure glad we gave them the vote.
Obama is absolutely beatable.
The social issues bs makes me want to scream. Birth control? FNG really???

Because women vote for appeals to emotion. That is the Democrat party's specialty.
And yeah, Saint Rick would lose even worse. In fact, the mere presence of him in our primaries hurts anyone with an (R) after there name with women.
Want to see the OBAMA voters? Simply tune in and check out the audiences on WWE, Maury Povich, Steve Wilkos, and Jerry Springer Shows and you will see all the OBAMA voters you will ever want to see in your lifetime.
I read the analysis of the poll. Santorum does much worse with this same group of women.
But Romney’s got what voters crave... He’s got electability
Absolutely agree! Mitt is my 5th choice as nominee, but the alternative is unthinkable. I would vote for a pet rock or a grapefruit(credit to Monica Crowley) over our muslim marxist-in-chief!
Saint Rick is killing our chances in November. I hate mittens, but Saint Rick is a joke.
Like this.......
Young single women want to go on killing their unborn babies. And now they really believe evil Republicans are going to completely ban contraception. The Fluke contraception deception worked perfectly.
Saint Rick would lose even worse.

That they are. I’m here to tell you — they’re buying this issue hook, line, and sinker. Bunches of women I know are convinced that EVIL Republicans have only one agenda ...and that is to make birth control ILLEGAL in this country.
I kid you not. They are convinced. Rational, otherwise intelligent women. This flat out LIE has worked like a charm.
But, who is surprised. America has and is going down due to this very issue at the heart of it. We’ve contracepted ourselves so much that we’ve had to import workers. We have aborted so many we dont’ have a tax paying base anymore to support all the elderly OR the freeloading immigrants. Radical feminism has done its trick on this country ...and continues to do so, destroying marriage, family, and a strong moral base. Why be surprised? Many Women are in love with themselves and their own power and new-found freedom to screw up their lives with oblivion.
Saint Rick is killing our chances in November. I hate mittens, but Saint Rick is a joke.
A vote for Romney will be a wasted vote
Wasted? If you stay home as many here have said they will do should Romney be the nominee, it is a dead certainty your lack of a vote for the Rep candidate will be a vote for Obama. That you or anyone else would believe on the one hand this election is the most important in our history and then turn around and claim if they don’t get THEIR choice as candidate they will let America fall is to me completely off the wall and indicates a startling lack of an ability to understand the possible consequences of ones own actions, or in this case the lack thereof.
The “War on Women” paying dividends.
Dems would never win without the woman voter advantage.
