George Zimmerman’s Lawyer: 'Facts Have Been Spun by the Media'

When George Zimmerman’s lawyer, Orlando-based criminal defense attorney Craig Sonner, defended his client to TIME on Sunday night, he would not say whether he is gathering evidence for a trial. But he hints he is thinking ahead to a criminal case. “I err on the side of preparedness,” he says. “Every time I take a case I prepare as though I am going to trial.”

Sonner continues to remain mum on the specifics of the incident, like why police surveillance cameras showed Zimmerman with no apparent blood and grass stains soon after the shooting, or whether or not he has run tests to confirm that Zimmerman’s voice is calling for help on a neighbor’s recorded 911 call. “That will be litigated,” he responds to each question. Then, the refrain: “George Zimmerman was acting in self-defense on the night in question, and when all the information is released, it will show that.”

I agree from what we currently know....however there are other cases where that too should have been so but public outcry did effectively work countrary to that.

At any rate the family and their supporters, be it whomever, are not going to let this rest. They will do whatever is necessary to keep this ball rolling....if for no other reason then the media's co-operation in seeing to it this remains an ongoing story to engage the public, and the revenues all have to gain by doing so.

And of course we know a certain individual has "political" gain as well...that remains to be seen when all is said or not said and done.

Fox News has been part of it. Judge Jeanine Pirro (Lebanese-American) gave a short summary of the case the other day which was very slanted pro-Trayvon.

The woman on "Fox & Friends" this morning (forget her name) announced that "the authorities" have determined that the voice on the tape calling for help is Trayvon's. I assume she was referring to the two "experts" who said there is only a 48% likelihood that it is Zimmerman's voice (but no one seems to have a recording of Trayvon's voice for comparison's sake). People who aren't following the details may now think Zimmerman was beating up on Trayvon before the shot.

Here's info on how Martins Attorney racheted up this whole affair into a civil rights issue.

Here's my conspiracy theory:

Clearly, the death of Trayvon Martin has been manipulated and the media play out of the story has been orchestrated. But why?

I think Jesse Jackson, Al Shapton, the media and many others are doing a setup for Obama's reelection. Racial tensions will continue to mount over this and other incidents. The violence is already spreading and will peak during the heat of summer. At that point, Barack Obama will hold a "beer summit" of some sort and will miraculously heal the racial wounds. The medial will declare him a racial messiah and will sing his praises for bringing America together. He will run on a theme as a "unifier".

You are right the city manager did come out; however the local media did not report it because it did not fit their agenda.
I only saw it on the net long after he put it out. I am always skeptical of anything on the net.
There is so much misinformation out there that is why I wish a judge had put a stop to the news media trying it on TV.
I heard some lady on Rush just now say the kid lay in the morgue for 3 days before his parents were notified.
If it is true it is inexcusable. I don't think it is true. I never heard it before. I did hear that the person watching the game with him didn't know until the next day he was dead.
Excuse me? If a friend of mine went to the store for skittles and tea and didn't return, I would start looking and get some help looking. . . .

If I'm Zimmerman, I go public and tie Obama, Sharpton and Holder together. I use his statements to prove a fair trial is impossible, because it is impossible. That Obama has tainted the case. Eric Holders “My People” comments should be getting front page attention by Zimmermans lawyer.

He can do this after he's arrested and charged,and odds are good he's getting charged. No one “Offs” the “presidents son” and walks free, especially with Sharpton fanning the flames. Sanford may require a sacrifice to Obama to remain standing.

This isn't just MSM. This is the Oval office publicly winking to Al Sharpton to go get the rope.

I think the town corrected that failure of basic information early on, too. The family was notified on February 27th. That is a non-contentious piece of information.
