Georgia State University police are looking for two men accused of beating a student from the college.
The whole right side of my face had to be reconstructed. I have four plates holding my face together, said the student whose identity has been withheld for his safety. The victim told Channel 2s Ryan Young that hes even lost some of the pieces of bone around his eye during the March 1 incident that occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Decatur Street in southeast Atlanta .
Video surveillance shows the student walking in a white shirt. Seconds later, two men are seen walking behind him before the attack.
The victim, who recalled being hit in the back of the head, said he learned his attacker was wearing a brass knuckle.
Another guy came up and hit me in the face with a piece of wood, the victim said.

When I lived in Atlanta, there were several times when I would cross the street when things didn’t feel right.
The panhandling irritated me, but most of the time I didn’t get one of those danger feelings. I am a somewhat big guy and I would get a focused angry look on my face and not look at the panhandlers and usually, they left me alone. It was the women and tourist that I felt bad for.
Anyway, that was a while ago, and I now want NOTHING to do with Atlanta or any big city. I feel for the trapped good and innocent people. The lid is going to blow at some point.
I agree wholeheartedly! I've been carrying a gun into places where they are prohibited for over 20 years. I would prefer to defend myself before a judge or jury than allow myself or others to be needlessly killed or injured.
Sort of off topic: My daughter received a hefty scholarship from GSU to attend their Honors College and School of Music. Even though it would cost us next to nothing to send her there, the risks outweighed the benefits.
She’ll be attending a college out of state with a well-defined campus and strong police presence. And we’ll be broke, but our daughter will be safe.
I live in Edmonton, AB. My city has the highest crime rate across Canada for all cities over 50,000.
I’ve learned how vital it is to know who is in your vicinity and try not to be in position of getting harmed, if possible.
I don’t blame you. I graduated from Tech. My son too. Now I wouldn’t recommend it because the police and campus seem only to report the many crimes as required by law. They aren’t stopping them and they won’t let CCW students carry on campus
HEY! That is derogatory to all us law-abiding Jimmys.
Yep, lot of that “leaving out critical physical descriptor” crap going around.
Here’s another local mob beatdown story. Guess what “teen” is code word for?
