Obama warns 'unelected' Supreme Court against striking down health law
FoxNews.com ^ | April 2, 2012

President Obama, employing his strongest language to date on the Supreme Court review of the federal health care overhaul, cautioned the court Monday against overturning the law -- while repeatedly saying he's "confident" it will be upheld.

If SCOTUS overturns Obama Care, then Obama will not comply with the decision at all, because it goes agianst "democracy."

He would be impeached - the American Public [as a whole] look to the Court as the last bastion of resistance against run-away government ...

The House would vote articles of impeachment, given the current GOP majority and there are plenty of DEM Senators from Red States who WOULD vote to convict in order to keep their phoney-baloney jobs ...

Otherwise, the DEM Senators would be pissing away their careers. Also, this would set a precedent that if Obama could ignore the Supreme Court - then he could ignore Congress on ANYTHING ...

May I with all respect say I disagree with you. I do NOT want Romney to be our nominee, period.

HOWEVER we must stay united IF he is the candidate, and vote OBAMA OUT at all costs.

The choice will be ours.

2013 with OBAMA as President = loss of our freedoms and a beginning of a dictatorship. PERIOD... I personally don't want to run that risk.

Polly, I'm beginning to hear that view, although I must admit that I've shut it out for a long time now. I still detest Romney with a passion, but a few good folks around here are making a very logical case for him being the "lesser of two evils."

Freeper Verginius Rufus has made a better case for that than any I've heard:

“Even scarier is they are all vulnerable to heart attacks.”

Scary is right. What would happen if one of them died before the ruling came out?

I do hope we don’t get to the “Battle of Athens” scenario, but some scenarios are worse.

I'm a proud resident of Athens, home of the Battle of Athens. It's coming.

I agree with both of you. And it is very concerning that they would even be so bold as to openly pose such ‘threat’ to another EQUAL branch of government.

I know our congress critters don't have the cajones, especially in an election year, but if the ruling comes down as unConstitutional and 0bama’s Regime implements it anyway...the question becomes...What can we do?

Congress won't dare start impeachment processes this year or mid-summer. An unConstitutional ruling could play out in 0bama’s favor as he campaigns on implementation anyway. Hence, why Congress would need to impeach him or start proceedings as 0bama is breaking the law. Again, this would then be enough of a crisis to bring out all the progressive base for the election. So I see no reason for 0bama to fear the checks and balances.

So, since 0bama doesn't seem touchable up until the election and any action against him could majorly backfire, what do we do? This is all setting up for the ‘community organizer’ just too darn perfectly. I can actually see in my head right now him standing on the podium, finger wagging railing against our American System and how it has failed the American People. Telling us how he has already put in place people to help with the transition to a new form of American Democracy...

This ‘warning’ is the start of the Constitutional Crisis. The SCOTUS has no way to enforce the ruling and the regime knows it. They also know congress won't and basically can't act even if they tried. There are too many progressive moles in Congress to get justice and secure of form of government.

So, I started out to write this and ask if we could turn around and go after the agencies as they tried to implement a law ruled unConstitutional? And that means they are spending money on this even now...getting ready to set it in motion. If we can't stop the regime...can we go after the agencies? With all the laws we have, there must be some way to go after the agencies. Where are our clever conservative lawyers that will be willing to risk going after them?

Now I am finishing this wondering, if our own governing body won't stand by the law and how our system of government was designed to work...

Is it our government anymore?

My take is that the Psycho-in-Chief already knows the vote....and it's not favorable to him and his regime. He most probably has been tipped off by Elena Kagan or the Wise Latina. Otherwise he wouldn't be shooting off his mouth against the Court in such a reckless, dictatorial manner.

As a people we're in great danger now because Obama is pathological.....and to me there are indications he's losing it. Many things actually are not going his way.....and how he is reacting must bear close scrutiny. We have to hold our breaths for the next seven months, that's for sure. He's going to reach far and we can only pray that his reach exceeds his grasp.

FDR had the public support. This healthcare bill and Obama doesn’t. Not like FDR.
He’ll do nothing but whine and have to take it, especially with a R congress.

Sounds like Al Capone giving someone a choice and then, with a wry smile, telling them he ^knows^ they will do the right thing, all the while patting his “violin” case.

Categorically NO !

And so we wait for the rest of America to understand that.

And then what?

The November election is turning into a farce.

I was thinking that Sotomayor would flip and ^run^ as far as possible from Kagan because she didn’t recuse.

EXACTLY WHAT is the plan if Obama doesn’t get his way?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Obama will call out his brown shirts nation wide, and create mayhem, disorder, and as America defends itself
from mayhem in the streets across the nation, declare martial law.

The foundation of a civil war is being laid. And the security apparatus of America is now arrayed against THE PEOPLE.

soon as I heard that they would have a secret vote I thought of Kagan calling her boss with the decision and that is another reason why I want someone with balls to investigate how she got elected, her background her role in the court right now and what communication she had with obama.

Of course investigate Holder, DOJ, , Janet not securing the border, spending pon green energy, overturn the insane policy of allowing openly serving homosexuals, ah the list is endless.

:: He wouldn’t be the first president to ignore/disobey a SC ruling. ::

One tactic could be for him to move forward with other portions of ObamaCare with EOs while congress is “rewriting” the single-payer portion.

“Yeah, he’s threatening the court, but come on. Republicans/conservatives aren’t exactly squeaky clean when it comes to playing the “judicial activism” and “unelected officials” cards when court decisions don’t go our way.”

Yes, but...

When it comes to judicial activism on the left, it tends to be more positive (vs negative on the right). That is, they tend to read things INTO laws, or interpret laws to mean something they were never meant to mean.

Striking down a law as unconstitutional is a bit different.
