I got behind Newt as did many others until he fell flat on his face.

It's true. He really did.

In the first pre-Florida debate he looked very, very bad. And this was the guy who was supposed to be the Debate King.

I didn't watch the second pre-Florida debate, but I heard he wasn't much better then either.

For a guy whose whole argument (at the time, anyway) was "I can debate Obama" to flub up the way he did... well, you know, I really do like Gingrich, like him a lot, like him better than I like Santorum, that's for sure... but I have to call it the way I see it and the way I see it is you are right, Kenny. You are right.

After Perry dropped out, I, too, was for Newt. Then he imploded during the Florida debates, and I saw the handwriting on the wall. I then supported Santorum. Newt did fall flat on his face, and I think his big ole ego did him in.
