NBC News issued an apology Tuesday for the way it handled the broadcasting of the 911 conversation between George Zimmerman and a police dispatcher in the Trayvon Martin case.

Following reports that NBC aired audio of the call was edited in a way that implied Zimmerman was racist, the network launched an internal investigation.

"During our investigation it became evident that there was an error made in the production process that we deeply regret. We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers," the network said in a statement cited

I would HIGHLY recommend to Mr. Zimmerman that he task his lawyers with sueing NBC

Perhaps they have and that is what initiate their apology. An apology could never fix the damage they did to him.

“error made in the production process”

It wasn’t an error in production, it was flat out lies to promote an agenda and create race riots.

“An error” is an unintentional act. What NBC did was a deliberate and maliscious distortion of facts and they knew it.

Where's the apology to George Zimmerman?

EXCELLENT POINT!!!
They'll be seeing Mr. Zimmerman in court, if he survives the bounty on his head being offered by the vigilante New Black Panthers. They can apologize to him then with American dollars. It's going to take a lot of them to do it right.

They certainly did manipulate the tape. They just admitted it.

Maggie, Jim, No Lib has posted the link to file complaint against the MSM. Seems like this needs advertised or be kept under activism permanently or both..

The only error to NBC was getting caught. This was a premeditated act of deception for political purposes. Where are the boycotts? Where are the calls for NBC to be shutdown?
Why are’t there people being publicly being fired and jailed for destroying a man’s life?

The “error” was misrepresenting Zimmerman’s words and intentions is such an obvious, ham-handed way that an average, observant ten year old could have spotted it right away. They’ll try to misrepresent and propagandize in a much more skillful manner in the future.

There shall be no better post to be made on this thread than just that...

Does that absolve them of legal action by Zimmerman?

It would seem that they have intentionally destroyed the mans reputation for the sake of news or just political purposes.

I think NBC should be compelled to say EXACTLY how the error happened, who is responsible (Bush’s fault) and what measures they have taken to make sure it won’t happen again and if it does, they are yanked off the air!

Where are the boycotts?

I don't know how, but I wish we could organize a boycott of their sponsors, one at a time, until no one wants to sponsor them anymore. Anybody have any ideas?

I hope Zimmerman becomes a rich man over this! It’s been horrendous and wonder how his head injury is - things show up later. He suffers pain and now torment because of the media’s deliberate deception to stir up the thugs for their agenda.

Dear CBS (commits bullsh!#).

Your "apology" doesn't cut it with me. Color me a way, waaay back former viewer. You lost me even before Rather tried to frame Bush.

You owe Zimmerman and the general public BIG TIME.

Dallas Watts and George Zimmerman should sue NBC for every dime they can get their hands on.
