It is an amazing descent. Two/three years ago, with the combined advent of Palin and the whole Tea Party movement, it was the first time since the 1980s and the era of Reagan that I really had a glimmer of optimism about the country’s future. Talk about dashed to hell! The GOP-e and Romney have really turned everything into a bottomless pit. I’ve gone from being totally energized to not being remotely invested in anything going on. Become more of a distant spectator, idlely bemused by the entire, farcical demolition-derby of an election year, while the country continues its swirling demise.

“The GOP-e and Romney have really turned everything into a bottomless pit.”

Agreed.

The blame goes to Santorum and Santorum bots. As long as Herman Cain and even Michele Bachmann were in the race, the message was about the economy and it seemed like Herman Cain could beat Obama. It caused panic in the Establishment.

Then the idiot Rick Santorum of the Karl Rove establishment who is a fiscal socialist and who is absolutely clueless about economics changed the course of the debate to issues like condoms, homosexuality and abortion. I guess that is his comfort zone, but it has damaged the TEA Party.

Santorum had the support of Mark Levin to shepherd some unthinking sheep his way. They must take the blame for the sad state of affairs.

You nailed my sentiments, exactly.
