36 years old, massive heart attack. He was in reasonably good shape and non drug user, but had a family history of heart issues. Please send prayers/thoughts/vibes/whatever. And if your family has a history of heart problems, please stay on top of things.

Prayers up for your friend and condolences for the family. My dad had a massive M.I. at 34, a double bypass at 43, and spent the last ten years of his life in the hospital more than he was out of it, before the umpteenth surgery took him at 65. Now I'm the same age as his youngest brother, who went way too early from cardiovascular disease, himself. Hideous disease. It's heartbreaking to see a vital person slowly waste away. All you can do is console yourself with the knowledge that God called them home at that moment for a reason. In Dad's case, we know it was because God told him, "You have acquitted yourself well, my son. It's time to join me. Let's see if that dumbass you sired also gets a clue in the next few decades."

I'm still a work in progress.
