Larson wants Mexico to reimburse Texas for illegal immigrants

State Rep. Lyle Larson is asking Mexican President Felipe Calderón to pay for services that Texas provides immigrants who are here illegally.

In a March 21 letter, Larson, R-San Antonio, wrote that the state spends between $6 billion and $8 billion a year on health care and other costs for illegal immigrants, a number he attributed to the Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas.

Larson, who filed a bill during the 2011 legislative session that would have required state agencies and organizations that receive state funding to track the services they provide immigrants, said he wants to “start a dialogue.”

“We need to sit down and figure this out from an economic viewpoint,” he said. “I don't believe anybody I'm aware of has asked the people in power in Mexico for compensation.”

In August, Gov. Rick Perry sent a bill to the federal government for $349 million for the cost of incarcerating illegal immigrants.

It’s a start but I won’t hold my breath for compensation. After all, minorities can never be at fault for their own actions.

I’d rather have Mexico keep the cash and we send back all the illegals.

I’d even settle for a reimbursement of their bus ride south.

I have to agree with you. What I want is LEGAL immigrants, those in line for years.

Just think of not only the money we’d save if 24 million illegals were evicted, we’d have less of a water scarcity problem in the drought. Plus, we’d really stop an underground economy and AMERICANS who have gotten rich by violating the law would be on more even ground with businesses that hire and run according to the law. Also, many Americans use maid and landscapers they know are not legal as they pay cash to these people. IF we do not change our ways, we end up like Mexico, a country you try to steal your way through.

IF real journalists and the IRS would report how many W-2’s and 1099’s never make it to a person, we’d be shocked. Especially 1099’s that have no taxes taken out.

NO, NO, NO!
Look Lyle, making it simple so your mind can grasp the concept...

If somebody breaks into your house and robs you of your possessions do you hold them in jail until trial when they're caught, try them and then, when they're found guilty, throw them in prison and hold the thief accountable for your lost property or do you demand the city or State you live in compensate you for your loss while letting the thief go free?

Even you should grasp that!

Surely you're sure not going to sit down and "talk nice" with that thief, are you?

It would be easier to drop a couple of plugged in toasters in the Rio Grande than to try to fit sharks with lasers.

You do understand that in “the numbers game” all that is desired by the influx of illegal aliens is bodies to fill in for those taxpayers who would be alive now if they hadn’t been aborted, don’t you?
