A pastor who attended the Easter Prayer Breakfast at the White House today was wearing a hoodie sweater, apparently in support of Trayvon Martin, the black youth who was killed by George Zimmerman.
The pastor, among many clergy in attendance at the annual East Room gathering, is not named in the press pool report from the event.
Martin was wearing a hoodie when he was shot, and the apparel has become a symbol worn by those showing sympathy for him and outrage against Zimmerman.

I have a few hoodies. I used them for working outside or walking my dog on windy days. I suppose I will have to burn them all now.

I’m starting to get a little more than upset here. I have eleven hoodies! Eleven. Two from the University of Nebraska; two from the Atlanta Braves; one from the Indianapolis Colts; one from the New York Yankees; one from the New York Giants; the rest an assortment of ocean community souvenir types. I love them. I feel as though the average minding-my-own-business American is about to lose it’s right to wear sweatshirts with hoods on them. I feel like I did when they took the happy word “gay” away from us. Leave me alone!
I guess it’s a good thing Trayvon wasn’t just wearing a pair of pantyhose over his head/face.

I wear hoodies, but I only use the hood when it’s raining, as it was when No_Limit_***** was shot.
