A woman who had just finished doing overnight work in a Landrum business on Saturday was assaulted by two men, but ended up turning the tables on them when she pulled out a gun and shot at them.
On Tuesday she talked first to News 4, and she said that it was the first and only time she had ever put the gun in her back pocket -- and at first, she didn't even remember she had it with her.
For her protection, the woman's name is not being revealed.
The 41-year-old woman had left through the back door of her business at about 1 a.m. She said she got her car from the parking lot, and pulled up to the back door to retrieve an umbrella she had left inside. She said when she stepped back outside, two men confronted her.
She said when she asked the men what they wanted, one of them jerked her necklace off and the other man tore her earrings out of her ears.
The woman said that the men shoved her up against the door and told her to open it and get inside. She said when she refused and told them the door was locked, one man punched her in the jaw several times. The police report said one of the men yanked down her shirt and bra and grabbed her breasts.
"I don't think robbery was the main agenda with them because my car was running, my purse was in it, my business checkbook, my laptop, everything and my cash."
She said at the time, she didn’t even remember she had brought a gun with her.

This story was all over the local radio news. And, yes, they’re holder’s “peeples.”
The hunt is on, and more of Holder’s “peeples” will be in jail by the weekend.
Overall, South Carolina is good at arresting Holder’s “peeples” and charging them under the state’s anti-lynching laws. It drives the racist black fascists nuts, but who cares?
There’s at least 14 Holder racists facing up to 20 years in prison in SC. And there’s not squat that the racist pig Holder can do about it.
Overall, people get along fine here in SC regardless of the racist puke obuma trying to agitate a race war.
It’s real.
And it’s spectacular.
Wish the press would defer to ALL victims of crimes that defend themselves with their guns, not to publish their names.
I don’t think I’d be comfortable wearing that.
