If you land that thing the same way you take off.........I am reminded of Fred Flintstone, and hope the pilot has some gooc callous build up on his “landing gear” ;-)

Nope, those gliders land on a skid on the belly and then rest on one wingtip after they stop.
Then, the pilot can open the canopy and crawl out the top.
That deal with no engine gives this old Navair type a case of the shivers, even if a glider IS supposed to be such fun.
The first time I got launched off a bow cat and watched the entire damn deck disappear in the canopy bow mirrors while we were clawing our way back to a flying status cured me forever of rollercoaster fear and/or any kind of unpowered “flight”.
BRRRRRRRRR that water looked cold and hard.
I did not see a ping, so I ended up pinging. Sorry.
IM familiar with a “normal” glider...but found this one amusing in that it took off by “foot power” rather than a tow line...... ;-)
I love motorcycles and sailboats but wantin to fly never blew my dress up.
I’d be way too chicken to try it.
Considering that the Tow could cost a Benjamin (and I haven’t priced flight time in a few years), if the “foot power” knows his ****, it’s all good.
I’m just as annoyed with myself for being late with the ping. But I’ve said before that there are people who don’t like multiple pings. They FReepMail me.

IIRC, that happened when I was of an age where I was too stupid to bother with “chicken”.
Sure learned to love ejection seats and Proper Flight Procedures in a hurry, though.
