Judge Napolitano: I Think the President Is Dangerously Close to Totalitarianism (Video)

Don’t hold back, Judge. FOX News contributor Judge Napolitano told Neil Cavuto today,

“I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism. A few months ago he was saying the Congress doesn’t count. The Congress doesn’t mean anything. I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation. Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation. That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing.”

Imperious @&#^&rd. Would it be too much to ask this Congress for articles of impeachment?

Didn't the Obama Adm. stop some companies from drilling or searching for oil after a judge ruled they could? Look at all the usurpation going on and the EPA is out of control!

We need to get rid of these prix as soon as possible!

WHAT? Ask Congress to do something politically incorrect!

My God, don’t you realize that our dear leader is BLACK? You can’t remove a black person from their job for thought crimes (or for that matter...any crimes). That’s RACIST!

Could Conservatives ever approach the level of the left mob if we fear Obama will be re-elected? Or would we basically "sigh" and hope to make the best of a bad situation? I just believe we can have these grand-day dreams and visions but in reality we would just wait until elections of 2014 and 2016.

Is an anti-reelect Obama movement even likely to becoming more vocal/active this Summer? Something never seen before? Based on the past, I doubt it.

Obama rhetoric/ lies over the last couple of days may get us angry but realistically we will rely on the ballot box. Why don't we have huge non-violent protests?

Right...I blame every last one of these ‘go along to get along’ political jerks (justices included) for the excessive latitude and overly indulged bullying this ‘President’ has been permitted.

Hey your honor...you angry??? Look in the mirror and say ‘THANKS’!!!!

I really have to ask why do people keep thinking this is valid? I mean really? Yes, the House can offer up articles of impeachment. Then the Senate will simply tell them to go play in traffic which makes the GOP come out looking horrible. This results in independents, who buy into what the MSM says, voting Democrat in droves come November.

A noble gesture of political suicide doesn’t help anyone.

The Tea Party did exactly that beginning in 2009. Our side does not usually do that, but rose up spontaneously against the Obama agenda.

After the SELF AVOWED hater of the Constitution, hater of Congress (and admitted he would go around them), and now hater of the USSC there is one and only one reason this Kenyan stain on the USA has not been impeached.

That reason is, members of congress have a much greater love and loyalty to their parties than to the USA its Constitution and its citizens.

They are all a disgrace and have violated their oaths to support the Constitution so they should face removal from office.

He won’t be a “white black” until turning on him instead of supporting him does more to advance the cause of communism.

I don’t see that happening. He’s in the most powerful position in the world, and the most hardcore, committed communist of modern times.

I don’t think his handlers would allow that,

This is what i see happening in November:

A week or so before the election, the secretaries of states for CA, PA, FL, OH, IN, MI and other "must have" states get a personal visit from some thug in the Obama administration, telling him (or her) that Obama will win that state; make up any numbers you want, but Obama will win. Get it? Wink, wink. Or else. You have kids? Grandkids? They're all healthy, right? You want them to stay that way, right?

Then election night comes and the networks broadcast the results and, even in counties that usually vote very conservative, the numbers for republicans are just not there. Obama wins by a landslide; republicans cry foul, but who cares? Who is going to stand up and seriously question The One?????

Bang. In one night, it's over and we wake up the next morning to a total dictatorship......

Congress can continue to meet, the Supremes can continue to meet -- none of it matters. Orders for EVERYTHING come right from the White House....

Geez, do I hope i'm wrong......

Well, what do you know? When he said he was going to fundamentally transform the country, apparently he meant it.

obama makes me review history, especially pre-WWII and the events that lead to Hitler's total control. The parallels between then and now and the two men are significant.

I've always wondered how Germany could have let something like Hitler happen to them.

Thanks to obama, the state controlled media, Holder, Reid, Pelousy, all those stolen FBI files with blackmail data on their enemies, etc., I can see just how easily it could happen to US and history documents how difficult it is to undo. Did you know that Hitler survived 42 assassination attempts?

Obama’s famous campaign slogan “Change” wasn’t being used as a noun, it was being used as a verb. A command. Chilling when you think about it.

Judge Napolitano BUMP.

If Ruth Vader Ginsburg were to check out, I would love to see Andrew Napolitano chosen to replace her.

I can’t see that choice coming from Willard, though.

The statist/socialist are pulling the trigger to soon. The population hasn’t been dumbed down enough to believe the types of lies Obama is spurting out. They are about 20 years to early.

I agree. Hit Obama in the pocketbook by promoting the following idea:

Republican Candidates could improve their Primary vote count by campaigning with the following idea:

Due to the FHA, Fannie and Freddie Bankruptcies of September, 2008, American home owners lost 30 % of the value of their homes. That is a 30 % cut in just one month. Home values are still down 30 %.

Thus, let us cut the total compensation to all elected Federal politicians, and their staffs by 30 %, and an additional 10 % cut to elected Federal politicians each year until Federal Spending is LESS THAN the average of the previous 2 years of Federal income.

BTW, since slightly less than half of the US House, and 2/3 of the US Senate are Millionaires, it will be a great opportunity for Congress to lead by example that EVERYONE should give up their “fair” share of the American Dream.

What better way can there be to demonstrate that Federal politicians are on the same page as the voters?

>Yes. We believe this is a valid approach. Your notion that this would drive independents to the Democrat ticket is ridiculous.

Yeah, impeaching Clinton sure drove down his popularity. Wait, as I remember it increased after impeachment. Oh, and since I brought that up, it’s a good idea to recall that even with the GOP controlling both houses of Congress, they still couldn’t remove him. Does anyone really think a Democrat Senate will convict Obama? I mean do I need to be selling bridges here?

>Standing up for the Constitution is never the wrong choice.

It is all well and good to cite high minded principles. It is also rather a good idea to have some grasp on reality. Thinking there is any use in trying to impeach Obama might well be the first, but it surely lacks in the second regard.

I know the administration is unbelievably corrupt. However with the MSM solidly in his corner, that gets swept under the rug. Impeachment would get spun into an attack on the first black president and any other number of inane diversions.

A brief glance at history demonstrates how futile such a gesture would be. Only two presidents have been impeached, and neither was removed from office. In both those cases the opposition party controlled both houses, so at least there was some realistic chance that a conviction might occur. However, it still didn’t either time.

An impeachment in the current circumstance would merely be showboating by the House GOP, and they would only come off looking bad. The administration covers their tracks too well, and there isn’t a significant press corps going after the dirt.

Look, unless the GOP utterly screws up, Obama is done early next year. No point in trying something as risky as impeachment now. If he does get back in, and hopefully the GOP gets the Senate try it then.
