Shorter CNN to George Zimmernan:

Gee, George, sorry we pretty much declared you a racist in front of all of America before having all the facts, but Obama's all-in on this one and we're all-in for Obama and since you're a registered Democrat, we think you'll understand.

My favorite part of the video is the way Gary Tuchman doesn't have any trouble suggesting that Zimmerman may have said 'coon'. But on the next go-around he’s so, so reluctant to influence the audience by suggesting that he may actually have said 'cold'. "I don't want to say what it sounds like this time, what a lot of people are saying it sounds like. Let’s play it a few times so the viewer can have an idea for themselves and make their own conclusion.” That’s right jerk. When it’s not a racial word anymore make everyone listen to it about 10 or 20 more times to make sure they come to that conclusion themselves. That way they won’t be thinking about how it was your suggestion that it was racial in the first place.

It’s not. There’s a moment when, under his breath, he whispers it. It’s as if he says it to himself, but it is audible.

In a space between answering the operator’s questions what you hear is "F***in' c---." The second word is hard to make out. People were swearing he said 'F***in coon(s)." After a couple of enhancing processes it's pretty clear he's saying it’s “F***in cold.” According to some the weather was unseasonably cool that night.

I still prefer the SNL/Janet Reno/Richard Jewell “settlement”.

Every Monday for a year, Zimmerman gets to kick the offending parties square in the crotch.

I am amazed at the premise that if George Zimmerman had indeed muttered the the phrase ‘f** coons’ to himself then there would be grounds for a federal investigation.

His whole history of tutoring black kids and protesting against alleged police violence against a black man would make it quite likely that the first words out of his mouth would be a racial slur /s (In these matters the sarcasm tag is most definitely required)

Yep. But blacks yelling “die cracker” or “whitey” as they douse a kid with gasoline and set fire to him is not indicative of a “hate crime” (I get your point. The whole idea of “hate crime” is just ridiculous, redundant, and a tool against whites only).

In the enhanced audio, it is clear that he says “cold”. It is not clear that he is saying F_cking. It could be “frickin, freaking, frackin, or anything else, but he is definitely saying “COLD” not coon. It NEVER sounded like “coon”.

This audio travesty reminds me of that couple that had a bug put in their BEDROOM and recorded everything that happened in there. The police said they found all kinds of damning evidence proving the couple complicit in the disappearance of their child.

The judge listened to it and said to the prosecutors something like WHAT ARE YOU NUTS? This the crappiest recording I ever heard and I can't tell what they are saying. DISMISSED!

Accoring to Weather Underground's history data, the low for that day was 53 and the high was 69. And there was 0.20 inches of rain.

If I'm reading this chart correctly, the temperature was in the low 60's when the shooting happened . . . sweatshirt weather.

Maybe. If you check the weather for where I am, you get readings from the nearest data collection point, which in my case, happens to be 22 miles away. Guaranteed, it’s hotter/colder/wetter/dryer/windier here than there. Sometimes by a very significant margin.

Well, I wasted a minute following your link. Either you forgot the /sarcasm tag in your comment, or you really see what you want to see when you look at things. I mean, the guy in the short-sleeved shirt looks perfectly comfortable.

We’ve got enough on the media in this fiasco without having to make things up.

(And I’m not saying that Zimmerman wasn’t cold either; just that your example doesn’t do squat for making that case.)

Z’s pal Joe Oliver...

Didn't he also say the word could have been "goon" . . . that, according to his daughter, that is a word of endearment.

BTW, 'tho it's not related to this case, my two Florida born and raised granddaughters, ages 6 and 8, have heard the word "coon" being used on the school bus.

Good point! Quite some time ago my two kids and I had an old movie on where someone used a word like coon or spade and people in the movie laughed. They didn't get the joke and I had to tell them what it was.

I was afraid they might totally innocently use one of those words and get nailed for it sometime so I went through all the ones I could remember hearing from my youth.

I was shocked and pleased by two things: 1)that I hadn't heard those in decades and my kids had never heard them and 2) that I could remember so many of them.

So much progress had been made and now this race baiter in the white house has set us back a couple generations... or more.
