Celebrating his victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday night, Barry spoke up about the prominence of businesses owned by Asians in the District.
We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops, Barry said in remarks first reported by WRC-TV. They ought to go. Im going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.
Barry, who won't be opposed in November's general election as he seeks his third consecutive term on the D.C. Council, was unavailable for comment Thursday morning.

Well Barry at least they come into your neighborhoods to make money not to steal, riot, loot, vandalise, prey on the people, and suck off the taxpayers until they drive them away. They even raise the general IQ of your schools instead of lowering it. Then b*tch about “white flight” when the host has had enough of the parasites.

None at all.
Black people have the right to be racist.

If Asians didn’t open stores in DC, they’d be considered racist.

What is the actual date of this story? I'm not sure I'm buying it based on what you posted. Obama is looking for a 3rd term on the city council? Something doesn't seem right here.

I wonder if Mr. Barry is hitting on that crack pipe again?

I bet Barry would condemn the Asians who open shops in black neighborhoods and take their profits to their own neighborhoods as “stealing” from those communities,
and would not condemn the thugs who steal from those stores and drive them out of business.

too late for hizzoner and thousands of other crackheads.
actually all black Democrat politicians in D.C. are suffering from this disorder as the city gentrifies, new people move in, and they are in danger of losing a grip on their power bloc in a “chocolate city”.
Asians don’t care about crack. Barry needs to be able to walk in to a random shop and score, baby!

No crack needed. He expressed a common attitude in D.C. towards Asians. I am reminded of a conversation I had with a black female Director of a federal agency's Office of Equal Employment Opportunity many years ago. She and I were chatting in her office about the many changes in the local neighborhood over the previous 20-30 years, and all the various ethnic groups that had come and gone. There beneath the portraits of “Jack”, “Bobby”, and Dr. King, She suddenly launched into a blistering and virulently racist tirade against Asians. She leaned across her desk and said to me, “You know (Asians) they ain't like you an’ me. They like little yella’ monkeys...can't tell what they thinking..." And so it went for another jaw-dropping 20 minutes. I was a real eye-opener in D.C. cross cultural relations.

Barry should be glad of the following:
At a Chinese restaurant I frequent, the waitresses (who don’t earn that much) have kids who studied and worked hard. They became researchers and doctors. One of the sons is a top neurosurgeon in Phoenix. In the forty years that I have known these folks, none has collected welfare or unemployment (although at times they could have), leaving that much more entitlement for Mr. Barry.
Reminds me of the old joke about two Arabs sitting in the middle of the desert, complaining about the Jews: “You let one Jew in here and the next thing you known they’ve turned the place into a garden!”
