BRIDGETOWN (AFP) - UN rights chief Navi Pillay on Thursday called for an "immediate investigation" into the circumstances surrounding the February death of an unarmed black US teen, shot by a neighborhood watchman.
Pillay made the comments about the controversial Trayvon Martin case at a press conference in Barbados, as she wrapped up a three-day visit to the Caribbean island nation.
"As High Commissioner for Human Rights, I call for an immediate investigation," Pillay told reporters.
"Justice must be done for the victim. It's not just this individual case. It calls into question the delivery of justice in all situations like this."
"The law should operate equally in respect of all violations. I will be awaiting an investigation and prosecution and trial and of course reparations for the victims concerned," Pillay said.

Mustaine for president indeed.
Right, while the Syrian army has wiped out thousands of women and children this year.
“Given how much fuel the POS in the White Hut has poured on the last embers of racial hatred it is not going to take much of a spark to ignite a hot race war.”
I’d say that the “persons of color” side went hot decades ago. The only thing keeping it from igniting into the real thing, is the sustained restraint, civility and GROSSLY misplaced guilt of whites.

Barbados to Receive UN Human Rights Commissioner for Official Visit
Its the melanin, Pillay.
EVERY BLACK PERSON that has had a relative killed should be really pizzed at this ‘special’ person getting all the attention. Did their dead relative not matter?
They ought to look deep into the actions of this administration and realize they are BEING USED BIG TIME! They’ll be thrown overboard like everyone else, whose usefulness has worn off.
The UN getting involved should scare the hell out of all races.
Zimmerman is being used as a pinata.
What about his rights?
I have never seen anything like this in my very long life. This administration is pure evil.
I used to laugh when people said,”Be afraid,be very afraid”. No more.
“Pillay needs to take her goatsmellin @$$ back to whatever sewer she crawled out of and stay out of our business.”
Her bio says that she is an “South African of Indian Decent.” Wow, coming from that hell hole, I don’t think she has any room to talk.
What Pillay is saying is he smells a boondoggle in Fla!
I looked for John Semmen’s name.....
This is absolutely unreal - what nonsense. With the thousands of people slaughtered in Africa alone, what on earth does one death in FL have to do with anything?
UN ... Drop Dead!!
What he said!!!
The “unarmed black teen” who had just noticed that his victim had a gun and was attempting to grab it and shoot him with it. If Trayvon had won the struggle, no one outside the Orlando area would have heard about the shooting and even the local media would have dropped the story after a few days.
Oh, please God, bring me some UN blue helmets for target practice. Please, please, please?
