A $9 billion Obama administration grant program for renewable energy projects has created tens of thousands of jobs, an Energy Department report out Friday concludes.
The report comes just one week after Speaker John Boehner slammed Energy Secretary Steven Chu over the claim and challenged him to provide proof of the jobs creation.
The report conducted by DOEs National Renewable Energy Laboratory concludes that the program supported 52,000 to 75,000 construction and installation jobs on average over the three years it was in effect.
Between 43,000 to 66,000 of those were indirect jobs in the supply chain (for example, in parts manufacturing). The other roughly 9,400 of the jobs were in the design and development of renewable energy systems.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
That works out to around $120,000 per job.
” A $9 billion Obama administration grant program for renewable energy projects has created tens of thousands of jobs, “
Tens of thousands??
Who knew there were that many bankruptcy lawyers...
One guy working for a week is a “job” under these calculations.
How many of these jobs lasted more than a couple of months?
1) Jobs created were minimal and all companies have failed or will fail
2) Most of the investment was poured back into dim coffers in violation of the law and ethics. ANYTHING... and I mean ANYTHING out of the obamao administration is a lie... 100% satan certified. FUbo!
” 100% satan certified “
Thank you Stephen!
About $200,000 per job. The president must be very proud.
From Politico: “Over the next 20 to 30 years, the projected lifetime of most projects, projects from the so-called 1603 grant program will support between 5,100 and 5,500 jobs annually.”
I got my original estimate wrong. Almost $2,000,000 per job created.
How many of those jobs are still “on the job”?
In other words...were these permanent positions or have they all be canned already?
The jobs created weren’t in the US, or, were for the actual (as opposed to the bugbear version) One Percent. Money Laundering ping.
