White House celebrates Easter with celebrities, athletes and yoga By Jonathan Easley - 04/06/12 04:32 PM ET
Actress Julianne Moore, singer Janelle Monáe, and tennis player Andy Roddick will be among the guests at the 134th annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House on Monday.
The event is centered around the first ladys Lets Move initiative, which promotes healthy, active lifestyles for children, and will include a yoga garden, obstacle course, instruction from players and coaches on professional sports teams, and healthy eating tips from celebrity chefs.
According to an administration press release, more than 30,000 people from around the country will attend, making it the largest public event of the year at the White House. The White House said that more than 200,000 people entered an online lottery for tickets.
Other celebrities scheduled to attend include actor Forest Whitaker, ABC news anchor Robin Roberts, U.S. Olympians Dominique Dawes and Michelle Kwan, and the National Football Leagues Brian Orakpo.
a yoga garden
What the hell is a yoga garden? Are they trying to grow some yoga or what?
Funny. I always thought Easter had something to do with the Resurrection of Christ.
I don’t know if Muslims celebrate Easter.
” Funny. I always thought Easter had something to do with the Resurrection of Christ”
NO....they have 2 his and him homosexuals coming with their adopted son........
What happened to celebrating Easter for what it is. We don’t need slimy celebrities messing stuff up.

No kidding, huh? The liberals who write this pap have no idea how insulting this is.
Gawd don’t you know anything? A yoga garden is where they grow yoga plants that are then fed to cats who then regurgitate them to make yogurt.
Hey....If it's good enough for the children......
The good news....They won’t be there much longer.
Apparently Tim Thomas was not invited.
This how we’ve celebrated the death and Resurrection of Christ for years....by getting into the lotus position and reciving an autograph from Bono apparently.
and pickled pigs feet I bet.
nah, pickled chinese eggs.
Everything but Jesus.
This link would support that yoga should not be the focus this Holy season. http://www.letusreason.org/NAM1.htm
President Obama (background) practicing Yoga.
I doubt the resurrection of Christ will even be mentioned.
Tofu eggs and celebrities. How sad.
You can bet that the entire family will have nothing to do with JESUS on Easter.
And for me, and Im sure for some of you, its also a chance to remember the tremendous sacrifice that led up to that day, and all that Christ endured—not just as A Son of God, but as a human being.
My Bible reads Christ is the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16
Exactly. I stay away from yoga for that reason (well, that, and because it looks stupid). When they do that palms-together thing and look upward, it’s a pagan sun-worship gesture. Probably explains why it’s so popular nowadays....
Which has to do with Christ how? Happy Resurrection Day!
It’s going to be a Trayvon Martin kind of Easter.
Yep Christ’s resurrection (Halleluia!-serious), and (sarcasm) Yoga..
Obama needs to have God hit him in the heart badly (to soften him to the Grace, and peace of Jesus our Savior/Lord)!
Happy Easter. BTTT!
Oh well, Hathayoga is better than none, I guess.
Geez.... what have these people done to the house of the people?
It’s gonna need fumigating, I tell you.
Imagine the largest public event of the year at the White House!
And all to honor our Risen Lord! Halleluja!
