Teacher tells 6th grade class that ‘Republicans are stupid’

I suppose it can said of a Virginia elementary school teacher who allegedly told her students “Republicans are stupid” that she at least spoke her mind. Her actions are more defensible than those of a fellow Old Dominion State colleague who deviously tasked her students with finding flaws in the GOP presidential candidates but not in the lone Democratic candidate.

The Daily Caller reports that “as Republican voters were filing into the halls of [Colin] Powell Elementary School in Fairfax County to vote on Super Tuesday,” teacher Kristin Martin told her sixth-grade class that “Republicans are stupid” and “they don’t care about anyone but wealthy people and businesses.”

One of the students in the class told The DC:

It all started when this disabled kid came in and named all the Republicans candidates for Super Tuesday. She [Martin] said to him, ‘I don’t like them, I think that they are stupid.’

The blog additionally notes that Martin reportedly told the class that she had voted for Obama and that “Democrats do more for the community and schools.”

I reached out to John Torre, a spokesman for the school district, who said that the county’s investigation into the incident was “inconclusive.” The teacher, he told me, denies having made these statements, which means that in the district’s eyes it boils down to a case of “she said, they said.”

But not all the parents of children in Martin’s class are satisfied with that outcome. One mother, a self-identified Republican, is quoted by The DC as saying:

I felt like the teacher was brainwashing naïve, young children to believe people like me, my family and, to a certain extent, my daughter, were stupid.

The reaction is understandable, but I would find it far more instructive to know what a parent who is a Democrat thinks of this type of proselytizing—whether it happened or not.

The “public school” is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.

The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.

It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is communist.

Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.

Nobody loves your children more than you do.

Nobody can teach your children like you can.

Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.

It is hypocritical for you to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. And your children will know it.

If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.

DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!

Especially not with your own children.

I have half a mind to do a full background dossier on Ms. Martin; where she lives, if she owns her house, how much she paid for it, or the rent she pays, where she went to college, criminal convictions, driving citations, tax liens etc. Then I could highlight the really STUPID moves she’s made in her life. Because if she’s a liberal grade school teacher I don’t even have to hold my breath. I KNOW she’s stupid, and I know I’d find good stuff on her in the first hour. Unfortunately this is a busy week for me so she gets a pass.

Yea, I do feel sorry for kids whose parents force them to go to public schools (usually just so they can have the Lexus, the big house, and the extra-large plasma). The poor kids start out with two strikes against them, and then are thrown into a world where they have to compete against home schooled, private schooled, and foreign schooled kids.

It’s almost criminal. Thankfully, my kids don’t have that handicap.

I think it was around the time of the 2004 Presidential election, I was around a group of young ones who were on a field trip. One student asked her teacher what the difference was between Republicans and Democrats. The teacher said “Democrats are for everybody, Republicans only like their own type.” I forget who I used but I cited an example (Cynthia McKinney or whoever) and said “....is a Republican? Who knew.”

My feisty, smart, Godly, conservative son will be in 6th grade in public school next year. Wanna scoff at his beliefs, Ms. Indoctrinator? Bring it on!

Of course, I’m feeling extra confident these days because my shy 8th grade daughter put the school slut in her place a couple of days ago. If my daughter can send the roaches running back to the shadows, so can other good kids who attend public schools.

Parents need to help their kids know their beliefs and defend them. We point out the errors in what the teachers say, and the kids are learning to tell when a teacher is spewing her own opinion and not covering the actual lesson.

Check the net worth of each and every Congresscritter before he gets elected and after he has been there a few terms. They ALL get very wealthy. True story about the teacher being fired for mentioning how Hitler came to power. The teacher was a good guy too and left the state over it. His wife practically had a breakdown when the Media in Ak (Anch Daily Worker) crucified him in print. There was an aide here who was Jewish and contacted some left wing Jewish media organization in Anch. Reporter called teacher, asked to do a piece on our small rural school. Then during interview, the reported jumped the teacher and then wrote his own article much the teacher hadn't even said. Our school district got scared and fired the teacher rather than support him. Old Watson had mentioned that Hitler used the economic conditions in Germany that were in part due to the war reparations to incite Nationalism and his rise to power; the Jewish aide heard him and she started calling everybody that would listen to her. Watson moved back to Mich. and didn't come back here to Eagle, Ak for 10 years, then to sell his house here. BUT the best part: Watson's wife was never completely right after all they went through; she was real nice, but off just a little. So when they drove back to Ak from MIch, closer they got to Ak, funnier his wife got. So Dawson, Yukon is 110 miles upriver from us. By the time they got to Dawson, Watson had enough. He put his wife in canoe, gave her some food, and pushed her off into the Yukon. Took her 2 days to float down to Eagle and by the time she arrived, she was OK again. ha ha, true story. Had to hand it to Watson, he dwelt with some real lefties that tried ruining his life and his marriage survived; just 2 days in a canoe out in the middle of nowheres will do it every time.

Most teachers have to follow district policy and curriculum to the letter, especially if you are a Republican.

Stupidity is one human disease that is very unusual in that the primary symptom is that the sufferer fails to recognize the disease in himself and quite often fails to even notice it in others who display outrageously obvious signs of the disease yet the sufferer may often claim to recognize symptoms in almost anyone who is in fact free of symptoms. It may be unique in that anyone who self diagnoses himself as having the disease usually displays no outward symptoms recognizable to others. Most who display the disease remind me of a drunk staggering up to a perfectly sober friend and saying in slurred tones, “You neeeeed tooooo...hic...try toooooo sober up.”

A typical sufferer whom I know but wish I did not know is 37 years old and has actually scored at genius level on IQ tests and has a computer science degree but his major life accomplishment is in running up debt which he seems to have zero chance of repaying. He has yet to figure out a way to support himself, is as entertaining to be around as a dirty pile of laundry, has the good judgement of an Elena Kagan and would have been far better off now had he taken a job in a convenience store after high school and stuck with it but he refers to George W. Bush who is a Harvard MBA as well as a Yale graduate, who was trained as a jet fighter pilot, was twice elected governor of Texas and twice elected POTUS as “retarded”.

I once had someone on FR respond to a post of mine and tell me that I would have to admit that Obama had a LOT more experience to prepare him for the presidency than George W. Bush had when he was elected! I couldn’t imagine how anyone could be silly enough to think that.
