UPDATE:

A report from the Sanford Police Department is casting doubt on the story posted in the Miami New Times about the Neo-Nazis and the armed street patrols in Sanford. According to William Jacobson, Assistant Clinical Professor of Cornell Law School, there is no evidence that the Neo Nazis are in the Florida town:

Response from Sanford Joint Information Center: “At this time the City of Sanford has not confirmed the presence of Neo-Nazis groups.”

The professor asked for additional clarification and got it:

“You say “not confirmed.” Is there any indication of such patrols that the Department is aware of?”

Further Response from Sanford Joint Information Center:

“We have no indication of any such patrols at this point in Sanford. The only large gathering was the children and their parents at the Easter egg hunt.”

The Blaze will continue to monitor this story and update it as needed.

They chose it for themselves. Not only did they call themselves the "National Socialist Movement", but if you look at the website of the spokesman/leader that is quoted in the article, he has an affinity for swastikas and associating himself with the SS:

In case you are wondering, the "88" is popular among the white supremacist/neo-Nazi movement, because the letter "H" is the 8th letter of the alphabet, and 88 = HH = Heil Hitler. Too bad they don't emulate Hitler and end themselves in their bunker somewhere.

Personally, when I heard the words "National Socialist Movement", I think of Democrats.

And why is that none of these so-called white supremactist groups are made up of people that could really claim to be of any master race? It's like somebody went out and rounded up a bunch of inbred rejects. It's especially laughable when they take on some pretend militaristic role and you see either a fatso or some 90-pound weakling that clearly couldn't hack it in the military waddling around wearing enough gear to wear them out after walking 50 feet.

In a perfect world, these white trash rejects would mix it up with the Black Panthers and they could just knock themselves out.
