Trayvon Martin call was "mistake, not deliberate": NBC (Refuses to name supposedly "fired producer")
Reuters ^ | 4/8/12 | Chris Francescani

NBC News' decision to air an edited call from George Zimmerman to police in the moments before he shot Trayvon Martin was "a mistake and not a deliberate act to misrepresent the phone call," according the president of network's news division. The edit in question, which aired on the network's flagship "Today" morning show last week, made it appear that Zimmerman told police that Martin was black without being prompted, when, in fact, the full tape reveals that the neighborhood watch captain only did so when responding to a question posed by a dispatcher. Under growing public pressure to explain the incident, NBC News President Steve Capus provided Reuters with the fullest explanation to date of how the edited call made it on air and what the network is doing to prevent such a consequential error from happening again.

Looks like the "fired producer" is nothing more than a figment of NBC's imagination. And Al Sharpton's race-baiting is officially endorsed by NBC's Capus.

The lawsuit by Zimmerman can sort it out.

Black voter registration drives using the shooting as motivation are underway in Florida. Media using the dead boy is what the case was about all along.

Therefore, they have not apologized. Also, no one was fired.

They are flipping us the bird. "Yeah, we lied, f*** you."

Also, no one was fired.

It appears that NBC is digging a deeper hole for themselves with the "pretend firing".

OK! This is simple. If NBC thinks we are this gullible and treats their viewers with disdain and disrespect they need to be off the air!

A boycott of biblical proportion needs to happen the likes any network has never seen!

If NBC gets away with this then the public and the FCC are abysmal failures!

“Yeah, you caught us lying to you. Again. What you gonna do, organize a ‘boycott’?” -NBC News President Steve Capus

Zimmerman needs a good shark lawyer to drag these reprehensible scum around in the dirt.

I'm sure their viewers were perfectly fine with what they did.

I’m waiting for Spike Lee to Tweet the home address of the imaginary producer who was pretend fired by NBC.

Dang! The Internet makes it so hard for the MSM to lie, distort and manipulate their propaganda news.

Make George Zimmerman look more white

Did you notice the latest pic?

The above image demonstrates at least the FIFTH serious demonstrated doctoring of evidence by the MSM!
  1. ALL of the MSM used a childhood photo of the black man juxtaposed with Zimmerman dressed in 'county orange'.
  2. NBC News doctored the original 911 tape to portray Zimmerman as racist - claiming to later fire some unnamed producer when they were called upon this fraud
  3. ABC News doctored a video to hide Zimmerman's injuries
  4. CNN has now admitted that due to some 'enhancing' error, that Zimmerman did not use a racial slur at all... contrary to what they originally said when they were busy fanning the flames.
  5. The above photo as it appears in the original mugshot and then as it appears on ABC News, where they have made him look more white by bleaching and narrowing the image.

With regard to the image above, it cannot be said that it happened somehow by accident. These are major news agencies with the best equipment and image manipulation skills on the planet. This is more deliberate manipulation of the news and associated images to create anger and promote a particular line of propaganda.

How many examples can you find of the MSM doctoring the news either by editing 911 calls, police video or official mugshots? Perhaps by their choice of language - E.G.→ Coining the phrase "White Hispanic"?

Perhaps editing the images of Trayvon to show him as a baby, young boy or even photoshopping him to make him look like a doe-eyed model?

the network's editorial controls - including senior broadcast producer oversight, script editors and often legal and standards department reviews of sensitive material to be broadcast - simply missed the selective editing of the phone call.

Dang..... that many people missed this? It slipped by all of them? THEN FIRE ALL OF THEM!!!

This reminds me of the very old joke. How can you tell a lawyer is lying?.....He opened his mouth and talks. This is the same with nbc. What a load of crap coming from a NEWS outlet. We should boycott NBC and protest not only in the live audience, but boycott in front of their homes( hmmm does that sound familiar). We should boycott their sponsors, send emails to the FCC.

Let’s see...

Isn’t NBC owned by GE?

Isn’t GE a major contributor of Obama?

Doesn’t GE have a major stake in getting it reelected?

I am thinking there is no fired producer. I am also thinking they are banking on BO’s way of thinking- that the public has a very short memory.

Wrong. If there was any journalistic integrity at that network, it is long gone now with this unethical BLACK mark.

Sue away.

Overturn every rock and bring light to all the cockroaches there. If they can afford to pay a balding POS like Matt Lauer $30 million, they can afford to put another zero to that sum and give it to a man who has undeservedly been used as an instrument to ensure this network’s gravy train.

That’s depressing because I firmly believe that whoever wins FL wins the White House. This is why it is so imperative that we take back the Senate and hold the House. If Obozo is reelected, we can stop his Marxist agenda, dead in it’s tracks, if we control both Houses of the Legislative Branch.
