Mike Wallace, a pioneer of American broadcasting who confronted leaders and liars for the newsmagazine 60 Minutes for four decades, has died, CBS News said. He was 94.
His death was announced on CBS by the anchor of its Sunday morning program, Charles Osgood. The network did not immediately specify when or where he died. Mr. Wallace had been ill for several years.

A heck of a run undermining this great nation. I will never forgive this communist POS for stating in an open panel he would allow American soldiers to die to maintain his “objectivity of a journalist”
Rot in hell you traitorous scumbag
He lost his edge when the nation gradually returned to a two party system, between 1980 and 1994.
He was a left-wing Democrat, and defined "normalcy" with that worldview.
Just another dead Communist claiming to be a journalist.
RIP... I wonder if he found out Kenneth’s frequency yet?
He did get a few seconds from me. Just long enough to remind whoever is listening above that here was a man who told us he would sacrifice our family members and neighbors for his own gain.
He almost certainly did just that in a broader sense a la Fonda with his efforts during the conflict.
This is a particularly tough morning to consider forgiving such people.
The vet had little love for the media. He also blasted Wallace and the other talking heads.
I was in my 20's when I started distrusting the media.
Wallace's remark may be one of the things that opened my eyes to the lies by the American press.
Do you know the year the year of this round table?
God loves Mike Wallace as much as He loves YOU. Pray that he recovered from his delusional state before meeting his Maker.
Besides, you never know until you get where you’re going, who stands where with God. It may be that the Lord is more disappointed in you than in Mike Wallace.
Plus if you unload on Mike, what have you got in reserve for Castro and Chavez? And Obama! :)
Who cares? Why is that germane to anything?
It was on PBS, mid 80’s, 1987 I think?
MW: “You advocate a kind of Ayn Rand selfishness...why do you rebel...?”
AR: “...Man must work for others—that is the role of a sacrificial object. I say that man shouldn’t give up
himself for the happiness of others.”
MW: “What’s wrong with loving your fellow man? Why is this
kind of love, in your mind, immoral? Isn’t the essence of love that it is above self-interest?”
Mike Wallace dies at 93; here he is back in ‘59 with Ayn Rand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ukJiBZ8_4k
“Wallace, whose family’s surname was originally Wallik, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, to Russian Jewish immigrant parents, Frank and Zina (Sharfman) Wallace.”
My mistrust of the media started in the 1965 - 1969 era, well before the "No" answer.
I for one will let God judge him..I knew very little about Mike Wallace..
he was on 60 minutes nd therefore a bad man
I think he’s in a dark, fiery place about now
Wasn’t he the “interviewer” of David Frost when DF was going to interview Nixon after the latter had endured a few years of the silent treatment?
I recall Wallace so biased, rude to Frost, even at one point making fun of an advertiser’s revolutionary new product “Weed Eater”
“WEED EATER” a sarcastic Wallace repeated? Frost’s reply”: “It’s actually a very good product”
Bet Wallace’s low paid minority landscaper crews ever used weed eater to keep his lawn neat and trim?
I remember Peter Jennings and others on a PBS roundtable discussion all agreeing on stuff like that. These “journalists” aren’t even human.
But...but...but that is, after all, the highest form of (WARNING: OXYMORON ALERT!!!)
Enjoy your stay in HELL, Mike! It WILL last more than “60 MINUTES.”
Say “Hey” to Hewitt if you see him. I suspect you won’t as he is doubtless in a much deeper level.
Yep....just a presstitute progressive punk that’s finally gone !
Are Jews allowed in Heaven?
