LITTLE ROCK, AR A couple sheriffs deputies say claimed to be of Moorish nationality and exempt from state and federal laws is behind bars facing numerous charges.
A Pulaski County Sheriffs deputy stopped 34 year old Marco McCormick of Little Rock, on Arch Street near Kerry Road after noticing what appeared to be a make-shift car tag on his vehicle. The Deputy says he asked McCormick for his driver license but the suspect said he was a traveling Moorish American National and did not have to have one.
The Pulaski deputy called for backup and shortly after it arrived a woman identified as 35 year old Chandra Russey, of Little Rock arrived on the scene. Deputies say the incident quickly escalated with the pair saying they are not subject to local law and making numerous threats against the officers.
Deputies had to use a taser but eventually took both suspects into custody. They are now in the Pulaski County Detention Center facing more than two dozen different charges.
"Moorish" Marco McCormick.
"Moorish" Chandra Russey
Moorons?
Of course they are of Moorish descent. They grew up wanting Moor and Moor. They think they deserve Moor. They think people owe them Moor.
More like “boorish”.
I agree with the first poster on the site.
They sound more like traveling Moron American Nationals to me.
The sheriff's deputies were Moorish?
I believe the plurals is Maroons.
I could be wrong, tho'.
There are YouTube videos of Moorish Muslims in court.
What this country needs is to revive the Campaign for Moorish Dignity.
Ignatius J. Reilly where are you?
Sounds like a Blood Sweat & Tears song.
Moor and Moor all the time yeah.
“They are now in the Pulaski County Detention Center facing more than two dozen different charges.”
Apparently, the moor they proclaim their immunity, the moor trouble they find themselves in.
Moor good! (or is that, “Mo’ bettah?”)

Sheldon, South Carolina
The Kingdom of Oyotunji African Village covers 27 acres and has, well, we dont know exactly how many citizens (5 to 9 families in the last ten years, according to one tipster).Oyotunji is not part of the United States, according to King (Oba) Ofuntola Oseijeman Adelabu Adefunmi I, who founded it in 1970 and moved it to its present site near Sheldon because its old neighbors complained about the tourists.
I understand that the Council on American-Moorish Muslim Relations (AMMR) is saying they were stopped for no good reason and that this is clearly a case of profiling. More to follow.
Macaroons ?
Was ‘Othelo’ either of their Great-Great x8 Grandfather’s? If not book them both into the County Jail.
Sounds like it would be an excellent place for residents of Sheldon SC to dump their trash and old tires. If Ofuntola Oseijeman Adelabu Adefunmi I doesn't like it, he can take it up with the UN.
I believe he's still in New Orleans.
Are they Moors, or are they Moops?
I think there was some sort of “Moorish Kingdom” here in Georgia before its leader got sent to prison.
Ahh, the “Nuwaubian Nation”:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuwaubian_Nation
Located in Eaton, GA. The compound was shut down and seized in 2005 after its leader, Dwight York, was sentenced to prison for 135 years for multiple instances of child molestation.
I guess the “religion” is still around, though.
