Sources: George Zimmerman Could Be Arrested Soon; Grand Jury Won't Get Trayvon Martin Case
WFTV.ccom ^ | April 9, 2012 | Staff

Two sources told WFTV on Monday that gunman George Zimmerman could be arrested this week, and that a Grand Jury will not meet on Tuesday.

Zimmerman has been in hiding because of threats, after he shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. He claims he shot Martin in self-defense.

Jacksonville State Attorney Angela Corey has the sole authority to determine whether Zimmerman will be charged for killing Martin.

Governor Rick Scott put Corey in charge of the case late last month amid concerns that State Attorney Norm Wolflinger wouldn't do a thorough and fair investigation.

"You've got to make sure justice prevails. I'm comfortable that the State Attorney Angela Corey will make that happen," Scott said.

In Florida, first-degree murder cases must be heard by a Grand Jury, which means Corey can only charge Zimmerman with third-degree murder, second-degree or manslaughter.

However, because Zimmerman fired his gun and Martin died, which means Zimmerman could still face life in prison without parole, WFTV found out.

Natalie Jackson is one of the attorneys representing Martin's family and told WFTV she wasn't surprised by Corey's decision.

"We believe justice dictates that he will be charged," said Jackson. "If justice and the procedures were followed, then yes, all of this could've been avoided."

MISLEADING TITLE

Nowhere in the article did I find any sources that claim Zimmerman will be arrested soon. Just more of the same old demands that Zimmerman be arrested. Nothing new except that the grand jury will not be hearing this particular case.

Justice is everybody being treated equally and having the laws being applied as they were intended. In this case, the Martins and the perpetually outraged race hustlers are not demanding justice.

If this does go to trial, make sure the jury is composed of his peers as in all white hispanic (sic.) people who live in a community that has been the target of theives.

Corey is not running for reelection but I don’t believe she will take this decision upon herself. Probably go to trial with a manslaughter beef.

No matter what happens, the situation is so amped up, I expect a hot summer with the brothers.

Not charging Zimmerman with First Degree Murder won’t go over much better than not charging him at all, at least with the protestors.

Norm is ‘assumed’ to be racist? Is that the implication here?

This is Florida. If Casey Anthony is not guilty, then George Zimmerman should never see the inside of a court room.

“Governor Rick Scott put Corey in charge of the case late last month amid concerns that State Attorney Norm Wolflinger wouldn’t do a thorough and fair investigation. “

Wolfinger: http://sa18.state.fl.us/

Angela Corey: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Corey

Wolfinger is more concerned with bad checks, per his government web site. Corey is an experienced homicide prosecutor and a Republican, per Wikipedia. Both are white. No obvious race angle.

Then why is Norm on the payroll? What is it about Norm that everyone's concerned about?

Dropped the Grand Jury because she knew the Grand Jury would not indict.

This way, she can say she went after him. . .just to pander to the race-baiters and mobs of animals.

They aren’t gonna prosecute this guy, if they were going to charge him, they would’ve done it already. Let the blacks riot, and show how moronic they are...if they happen to break into your store, or house, exterminate them.

Arrested? On what charges? I guess it really doesn't matter at this point, as long as they arrest him for 'something' in an effort to "keep the peace" and to appease the ghetto masses.

Unfortunately; they need a sacrificial lamb in order to avoid riots, so Zimmerman will be sacrificed at the altar of political correctness. Regardless of the outcome; there will still be riots and cities will burn. The show trial will likely heat up right around election time so as to give obama a convenient backdrop. This should get just enough gullible white voters who are still filled with white guilt to vote for hussein under the pretense that it will help to 'calm things down'.

Who knows? I think it's true. At least it's being reported in a number of places, including Wikipedia.

For what it's worth, Judge Cory has insisted that a 12-year-old Hispanic kid who murdered his two year old brother should be tried as an adult. So maybe she's not a politically correct bleeding heart.

But this whole business does sound as if they've made up their minds to do the politically popular thing. We'll see. I think he can get a Grand Jury, but who knows how it will be stacked?

In a bizarre, twisted way that statement makes perfect sense.

Andrea Black said she has tried dozens of death penalty cases, and just defended a client in a stand your ground case.

"It's unreasonable to think that Mr. Zimmerman had any right to be afraid. The kid was unarmed," said Black.

This article is garbage. It quotes this Andrea Black woman but does not explain who she is or why she is being quoted. It seems they just dragged in someone with no particular expertise regarding the case at hand to pop off with the opinion they wanted aired.

Which is why they can’t try him for 1st degree.... Hence the manslaughter probability

You can bet your patoot that she has been told to convict him.

Do you think the GOP Establishment is going to not get a conviction here? ...and let the race hustlers and Media brand the GOP as racist?

LOL...His azz is already in prison...and now the show trial begins.

It’s over for Zimmerman. Sorry, Hispanics, you rate lower than black males on the PC Priority List.
