If you have not been a supporter of Mitt Romneys since the start of the GOP primary campaign, you may be one of those stubborn conservatives, those obstinate Tea Partiers, or those recalcitrant Constitutionalists, who are yet refusing to commit to Gov. Romney at this midpoint of the nomination race. Perhaps you are tired of hearing words like coalesce, electable, inevitable, and presumptive, and phrases like, Its time to get behind Mitt, or We really have to decide so we can focus on Obama.

Sorry, the principles of the Declaration of Independence, the stated purposes of the U.S. Constitution, and its explicit, imperative provisions, are my plumb line. Not compromised Republican politicians.
We’ve seen through hard experience over decades where your way of thinking leads, and it’s nowhere good for this free republic.
It’s a culture of total compromise, in a day when only the revival of a political culture of principle can possibly save this country from complete ruin.
Funny, I don’t disagree with anything you have said here...
I guess the difference is that I do NOT want Obama elected under any circumstances because of his ideas regarding the Constitution!
Yes, compromise does actually suck, especially year after year it seems! I also hate all of these crooked and far from conservative Republicans - I just know that this time, they are our savior against the Obama administration!
"Nothing is more certain than that a general profligacy and corruption of manners make a people ripe for destruction. A good form of government may hold the rotten materials together for some time, but beyond a certain pitch, even the best constitution will be ineffectual, and slavery must ensue."-- John Witherspoon
If you think Mitt Romney is anyone's savior, you have more problems than I'm going to possibly be able to talk you out of.
Heh, please remember to quote that as America falls...
I give up.. while I understand your position, I don’t understand you view of our political future. Guess you are more optimistic than I am. Keep the faith and have a good one. You will probably need it...
I said no such thing! I simply said that any Republican is better than Obama. Don’t put words in my mouth.
Wow...what a reply at the end of this conversation.
I am sorry that you do not understand the circumstances of your statements or mine for that matter. You do seem hard wired into your beliefs without any opening for understanding.
Sorry that I attempted to communicate with you.. Have a good night anyway - it is the Christian thing to do ya know.
Whether you take cyanide or hemlock, you're still dead.
Wear your chains lightly,my brother. I cannot help you.
Heh! No brother you can NOT help me in any way... Are you really a Texan? Where are you from? Where are you living now?
Please tell me that your not a Democrat plant here trying to advance your cause? You do seem too good to be true ya know.
I would not put it across the Democratic Party to plant some favorable folks here to try to influence opinions. Are you one of those?
Dam’ do I have to deal with your dumbass again?
No, just answer the question...are you a Democrat plant. Whre in Texas are you located. Not hard questions for most.
Please, the longer you take, the better that you are looking it up on Google...
Six minutes and counting - what is google that slow?
Heh, could not really answer the question and resorting to Democratic responses! Guess that answers my questions.
Hey, I thought you said you were a Christian! What the heck with that language? Guess I caught you out!
Heh, not a problem - I’ve been posting for 12 years! How about you fake Conservative?
You are a loser and worse probably a Democrat poser posting here...you nee to get another life.
Whoops... 14 years! You are a cynical fake!
When you're posting stuff like that to yourself, it just may be time to go to bed.
I’ll tell you what... you just give me the city that you are from and I will ask you a couple of questions to verity that.
Since I’ve lived here over 2 decades and know much of Texas (thorough work), I will verify you! What can go wrong with that?
Bed is the only way out for you...at this time!
What show are you talking about. I just re-listenned—not in first 2 minutes, not in first hour did I hear Levin even mention Romney. He talked about Reagan and Urban planning. Perhaps Texas is getting a different version of the show?
I think we have found a Democrat poser...
Yes, but you did not get to the root of the problem. Seems to be a problem with Republicans these days...
Hey, you better get some manners. Your crass language is not gonna fly here very long.
Wow! and still can’t answer a simple question. I am still waiting an answer about the city in Texas where you are from.
Your reply does seem normal for a Democrat. When in doubt, attack and use profanity or at least course language. You were a good student.
What problem? I was simply pointing out that you're now posting insults to yourself.
Again, whatever. Good night.
Ah, it was an afterthought... I do and hope to continue to expand or explain my comments. Sorry that it confused folks.
I think of it as Congressional “expand and extend” my remarks...heh.
From the home page: “Please enjoy our forum, but also please remember to use common courtesy when posting and refrain from posting personal attacks, profanity, vulgarity, threats, racial or religious bigotry, or any other materials offensive or otherwise inappropriate for a conservative family audience”
Oh, I am not the language police. I was just giving you, a newcomer, a helpful suggestion as you obviously did not read the posting rules of the forum~These are located on the home page. BTW, Your language is not going to win you any points around here—just weakens your arguments.
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU??!!
Children sometimes read this board. Your language is foul and unnecessary.
The line has been crossed by the GOP as much as the DNC and there is no turning back now. Both parties have betrayed us the average citizen. The GOP rigged the system to favor a moderate liberal non-conservative establishment candidate who does not oppose Obama, but agree almost 70% with him.
At this time when both parties are no longer defending freedom and attack those who try to defend freedom then it is time to admit that we are screwed no matter who the winner in November is between the R and the D for president.
The country dies either way now. Only Hope is to vote principal over party and plan the next step which should be to form a new party.
It is too late in the game now after all that has gone on to support Romney when all the past year, people have grown to dislike him even more than before.
That is why 13 Republican primary states voted against him. Obama and Romney are both bad and indefensible.
I myself without a doubt will vote third party for president.
Reminds me of a cartoon about an old mule and a wagon and a bunch of old boys loading out the wagon using a small crane.
"DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE MULE, BOYS, JUST LOAD THE WAGON!!"
Yeah...to you OBAMA for four more years
Yeah, in an open convention, by denying him the nomination.
So get out there, work for Santorum, and play for time and for conservative votes, to stem the flood of white-flag-wavers.
(Some people talk big until Poppy Bush clears his throat and snaps his fingers to indicate Play Time is over. Then they start waving white flags like the French Army.)
Which is not true. Romney and Ron Paul are not better than Obama.
Michele Bachmann is better than Obama.
Newt Gingrich is better than Obama.
So are Rick Santorum, Rick Perry (well, sorta), and even, arguably, Huntsman (maybe).
And that's not even mentioning, not even in passing, the love child of Theodore Roosevelt out of Annie Oakley, the direct lineal descendant of Molly Pitcher and Joan of Arc.
See there, you knew exactly who I am talking about.
I agree, Dragnet, that was an incredible disappointment. We put a lot of ourselves into supporting Bush. In the end...well, I still have the bus tire tracks on my back.
I’ve been posting for 14 years here on FR, though you would not know it based on my profile.
It’s comical when people call me “noob”. Now I know how that attractive thin woman felt when she put on a fat suit and went to job interviews with a hidden camera and mic.
It’s interesting how people get used to being treated a certain way. Both good and bad.
Some of us disagree. Bob Dole came earlier. And I put the first serving at GHW Bush. He only looked conservative because he was contrasted with the dominant liberals of 1988-92. Yes, I voted for him twice, but I wish now that I had voted for a non-Perot third party. Sooner or later, we have to take a stand. Sooner is much better.
Oops. Sorry. I accidentally cut the paragraph that said that I agree with your third party solution, just not who was the first excrement sandwich.
This is not the time for a third party movement.
If there was to be one, it should have started in 2008 when it might have had a slim possibility of succeeding.
All the Ross Perot campaign did was give us Bill Clinton and his lovely wife, Hillary.
And Ross Perot was a Ron Paul-type candidate who had some good ideas everyone identified with but he was a despot and not someone I would want as president.
The truth of the matter is that all of the third party people have some dream of a combination of Reagan/Charleton Heston and Jesus. There is no person currently living on earth that would satisfy all the third party people. the movement would fracture and die.
Right now, we have to face some cold, hard facts. We are going to nominate a man who is not as conservative as we want. Going over and over his faults is doing nothing to help the country.
I don’t care what you or anybody says about Romney, he is better by far than Obama. Romney’s worst moments are better than Obama’s best moments.
So, start now. Start up looking for an ideal candidate. Start in the Republican party because that will be your only hope of succeeding.
But don’t start by voting for Obama because that’s what you’ll be doing if you sit this one out or vote 3rd party.
