Jim Rob Is Right - But Conservatives Here Have TWO Jobs To Do!

First - blow off that feeling that we're going to lose, or already have lost! No, we're going to WIN.

First item of business, get invovlved in the Tea Party movement, and give D.C. a whole new influx of conservatives in Congress similar in size and importance to that of the last election - thereby blocking any of Obamas chances of having Congressional support for his machinations. Note too, the Tea Party used the GOP vehicle, not a third party. Reason, third parties are losers, because they don't have the national organization and presence large enough to compete.

FReepers need to get involved locally. There are tens of thousands of empty seats in local district Committees of the GOP across this nation - caused mostly by conservative appathy! Just by showing up regularly, you can be assured of gaining a seat from which you can VOTE - go to your county committees and vote there - and go to your state party conventions and vote there! (I personally helped see the ouster of liberal GOP control of the California GOP. Yes it was hard work, but we won - and that win has been, and can be duplicated in these perilous times through the 'hard work' of just SHOWING UP!)

Conservatives have a chance to block Obama, if not replace him. We CAN do that, but conservatives can not win by voting third-party - it's a throw-away vote that nets nothing.

The current GOP-E is NOT the friend of FREEDOM - but they are a very tiny group of RINO's that we can beat the snot out of - simply by doing what we can at the local district and state level. We - FReepers, and other dedicated conservatives - can and have ultimately fielded who becomes part of the GOP establishment. We need to OWN it like we did in the Reagan era, not destroy it through lack of attention to our God given orders to be 'watchmen on the wall' of who become our leaders.

No - it's not too late to shoulder your own responsibility - and earn your own right to say, 'I have fought the good fight, and WE WON.' There will be many opportunities in coming days to 'get involved' - don't let them slip by. Take advantage of the huge opportunities - you can, and will make a difference! It is quite fulfilling to debate hated RINO's FACE TO FACE - WIN when the vote is tallied - and see them denied a seat in party or public office!

Last but not least - we ALL need to get behind our Freepathon. Isn't it worth at least a dollar per day to you to come here, read, post, laugh and debate? Yes, I know, times are rough, and the 'cost of living' has gone way up. But, I'll bet you blow a lot on chocolate cake and ice cream or (insert your favorite deserts) - I, unfortunately, do! So let's all try to push this FReepathon toward an early completion - it might help save your waistline! LOL

“If Thomas Edison invented electric light today, Dan Rather would report it on CBS News as "candle making industry threatened".”

Hahaha! That's awesome! Never heard that before. Googling it but can't find when and where it was said. Just curious.

Well, actually I thought of a better answer for you. If they paint Romney as a flip-flopper, they’ll be able to show different quotes of his showing both liberal and conservative statements. So if they use that tactic, it could work.

"But even he knows he's lost."

Well, there are very many that really appreciates what he is trying to do for conservatism - and that is, blunt the RINO surge. He will hang around as long as possible, just to give the liberal RINO's fits - and quite likely turn things a bit more toward conservatism.

I agree. I will do nothing to enable four more years of Obama. We must get the correct House and Senate in office in any case...if we do that and elect Romney, things will turn around because the new Congress will enure that Romney is given the legislation to fulfill his promises.

Whatever else Romney is, he is clearly a politician and this is the chance for the pinnacle of his career. He is not an ideolog and he will not throw away a chance at eight years by betraying those who get him into office and ensure he makes good on his promises. To do so would be political suicide.

So, as much as I had hoped another would win...and there’s still an outside chance for that...I’ll vote for Romney over the clear Marxist Obama

If Romney does go forward and win the nomination now, let’s see who his VP pick is too.

Romney was elected in a DNC dominated state, Mass. It is really more MassCare than RomneyCare IMHO. He had to run center...and I believe the plan would have been even worse without him there. Study his vetoes sometime...it tells you something about him too. Most of them were over ridden by an 85% controlled state house.

I do not like his changes on critical issues any more than anyone else...but there is something there a proper house and senate can use that would be orders of magnitude better than Obams.

This is a decision that every person must make and it is very personal and varied...but I honestly believe I must oppose Obama, even with Romney, for the sake of my eight grandkids and their future.

Part of why the Tea Party so deeply threatened the elite media is the tea party looked around and suddenly realized, there are more of us than there are of them.

You’re 100% correct. It’s much better to have a liberal than a traitor in office.

I agree with your assessment.

I'm supremely disappointed that Romney will be our nominee, but I'm choosing to deal with reality. Reality as I see it: choosing to sit the presidential election out if Romney is the nominee will ensure Obama’s victory. Sorry, but as big a RINO as Romney might be, he doesn't hate the country. At least with Romney we have a chance to save the country; another four years of Obama will ensure our destruction!

Again, I'm choosing to deal with reality here...even if this reality isn't to my liking. I'll do what i have to do to save this country.

4/24 - the only state Newt could compete in is Pennsylvania. (If you think Gingrich has a chance in CT, DE, NY, and RI, you are overly hopeful.
100% of Santorum to Gingrich might give him 41 of the 231 that day.
Romney 663 + 190 = 853

5/8 Indiana (Newt + Santorum) 33. Romney 26 delegates = at least 12 of 27 for Romney = 865

North Carolina (proportional) Romney’s 31% about 15(for CDs) + 6 GOP-e = 886

West Virgina (Proportional) Romney’s estimated 30% gives him another 9 (with the 3 GOP-e) = 895

5/15 Oregon 14 each = 909

5/22 Kentucky 25 = 934
Arkansas 20 = 954

5/29 Texas (unclear if they can make this WTA or not) + 55 = 1009

6/5 California Romney + 103 = 1112
New Jersey Romney + 50 = 1162
New Mexico Romney +13 = 1175
South Dakota?? I am not sure on this one. ND went heavily Romney.

Montana and Utah = 66 more.

Before Wisconsin and from Santorum’s point of view, it was doable. Where there is not a poll to use, I used the state around to give an idea and rounded in Newt’s favor (except the GOP-e delegates who are unelected.)

Asserting that a third party vote is not wasted does not erase the treachery you share with the left in an Obama victory.

"it HAS TO END"

God willing, this lousy excuse for a president will be given his walking papers, if not by kicking his lousy butt out of office, then at least by taking control of Congress so that he can't pass a single thing he wants to.

Liberals ARE traitors. Romney the socialist grows from the same tree as Obama the marxist. Romney has no core beliefs.

Top Romney adviser: Mitt will erase his conservative positions once he’s the nominee

Listen, nothing is too low for the left-wing, they will try everything and they have been salivating at the prospect of having Mitt Romney as their punching bag as his record is a target-rich environment from which they have already stacked up a pile of ads ready to go if he is nominated.

He makes their job easy, the job of the re-election of Obama.

2012 is going to be an exact repeat of 2008’s election results, because of the shell-game the Ruling Class has foisted on We The People.

Like the old Soviet Union, we are now having our candidates selected for us by the burgeoning oligarchy running the show. Conservatism is clearly an enemy of these people, and like RIghtwardHo - I will be damned to again play their shell game by their rules again. We’re all being duped and deceiving ourselves that Romney is a choice that is better than Obama. Romney is a noose for Conservatism in America every bit as the noose Obama is for America.

Conservatives have no party - the GOP has discarded us and only uses us to get elected, whereupon they bash us the first chance they get and go along with the enemy. I’m done being the battered wife voter.

If history is any teacher, then we have to understand two things: voting in this election is not going to stop the Marxist Tyrant; the hour is later than most are willing to admit.

Secondly: only God can spare us our earned fate now. Our society has been allowed to become wicked and leavened. Why should God spare us what this people have chosen for themselves when His own people refuse to do 2 Chronicles 7:14? If you want to save the country and what is left of our liberty - THAT is the only solution that can save us now.

Romney is another obama on social issues and spending and the way he went about this nomination is something I or my family or most I know down here will never forget.

He’s nothing but a north east liberal and sadly from what I have seen, talked to and met that most north east so called republicans are like him.

Hell even when those so called republicans come down here they talk and have the same views socially and sort of fiscally as the Dems

Romney has no core beliefs.

I'd rather have a president who believes in nothing than one who believes in doing everything to destroy America and Christian civilization.

Besides, how can Romney be a socialist and have no core beliefs? If he is a socialist, then that's a core belief of his.
