Jim Rob Is Right - But Conservatives Here Have TWO Jobs To Do!

First - blow off that feeling that we're going to lose, or already have lost! No, we're going to WIN.

First item of business, get invovlved in the Tea Party movement, and give D.C. a whole new influx of conservatives in Congress similar in size and importance to that of the last election - thereby blocking any of Obamas chances of having Congressional support for his machinations. Note too, the Tea Party used the GOP vehicle, not a third party. Reason, third parties are losers, because they don't have the national organization and presence large enough to compete.

FReepers need to get involved locally. There are tens of thousands of empty seats in local district Committees of the GOP across this nation - caused mostly by conservative appathy! Just by showing up regularly, you can be assured of gaining a seat from which you can VOTE - go to your county committees and vote there - and go to your state party conventions and vote there! (I personally helped see the ouster of liberal GOP control of the California GOP. Yes it was hard work, but we won - and that win has been, and can be duplicated in these perilous times through the 'hard work' of just SHOWING UP!)

Conservatives have a chance to block Obama, if not replace him. We CAN do that, but conservatives can not win by voting third-party - it's a throw-away vote that nets nothing.

The current GOP-E is NOT the friend of FREEDOM - but they are a very tiny group of RINO's that we can beat the snot out of - simply by doing what we can at the local district and state level. We - FReepers, and other dedicated conservatives - can and have ultimately fielded who becomes part of the GOP establishment. We need to OWN it like we did in the Reagan era, not destroy it through lack of attention to our God given orders to be 'watchmen on the wall' of who become our leaders.

No - it's not too late to shoulder your own responsibility - and earn your own right to say, 'I have fought the good fight, and WE WON.' There will be many opportunities in coming days to 'get involved' - don't let them slip by. Take advantage of the huge opportunities - you can, and will make a difference! It is quite fulfilling to debate hated RINO's FACE TO FACE - WIN when the vote is tallied - and see them denied a seat in party or public office!

Last but not least - we ALL need to get behind our Freepathon. Isn't it worth at least a dollar per day to you to come here, read, post, laugh and debate? Yes, I know, times are rough, and the 'cost of living' has gone way up. But, I'll bet you blow a lot on chocolate cake and ice cream or (insert your favorite deserts) - I, unfortunately, do! So let's all try to push this FReepathon toward an early completion - it might help save your waistline! LOL

All one needs to do is look at Romney's record of appointing judges in Massachusetts. He appointed leftists.

You clearly have no interest in being rational or honest but for others I will point out that the state of MA has a certain procedure in place whereby Governors appoint judges, and the U.S. federal government has a completely different system.

Further, if your point is that Robert Bork is a RINO and a liar then fine. I simply do not agree with this assessment of yours.

It's quite simple, Obama will simply borrow a page from Romney's play book of using surrogates to attack Romney from the right.

So how much are they paying you?

Yawn. Pulled right off of the Romney website. Nice try, though.

No, my point is that Romney uses people's good names to cover his own @ss. Based on Romney's record, if you think he's actually going to be taking advice from Robert Bork, you're delusional.

The real question is, how much is Team Romney paying you, pal?

Newt is staying in, and staying active as much as he can right through the convention.

The next voting is on April 24 and it will be held in five northeastern states.

Maybe Newt will spring up out of the grave over the next two weeks but nobody is betting real money on that.

If Romney sweeps those five (including NY and PA) and gobbles up all of the delegates then what?

Amen bro, and God bless you for your service.

Despite his earlier dealings, I believe Romney may pleasantly surprise us if we can get the righ congress in place.

He is one who, IMHO, as regards the military and our future delings with Red China, is saying the right things, particularly regarding the Navy right now.

We’ll see, but I too simply cannot allow by any action on my part, to low Obma a pass of any sort into a second term to deal his lethal blows to our Republic.

God’s speed and BZ.

I also think he's too lazy to actually do the hard work.

He is lazy but perhaps destroying the country doesn't take much hard work. Incite a little racism here, leak a little secret of Israel there, and let Soros, Holder, et al take care of the rest, and you're golden. Didn't Reagan spend much of his time watching movies and letting his staff handle things? He still managed to take down the Soviet Union and invigorate the economy.

Your problem is that you underestimate Mitt Romney. He has a lot more conservative scalps hanging from his belt than BarryO does.

This is where we fundamentally disagree. Obama passed ObamaCare, is racking up a ridiculous debt for us, appointed Kagan and Sotomayor, and has been treasonous in his foreign policy dealings. Clearly, he has been worse for conservatives in America as a whole than Romney has been yet. If you argue that Romney was worse for Massachusetts than Obama has been for America, keep in mind that it's a lot easier to screw conservatives in Massachusetts than in it is from the White House.

The truly alarming thing is--how did we get to this point where we're stuck with such an atrocity for a Republican nominee?

It truly is alarming. Although America has moved much to the left, the Republican party still never became as left-wing as Romney. Conservatives never coalesced around one candidate, and we never fielded any great candidates to run against him anyways. At the end, we were running guys who have been out of office for six and twelve years. Perry was the only one who had the resume worthy of a president, and he tanked. The rest of our governors and senators must have been crap, although we do seem to have a good crop of younger politicians coming up. Most appallingly, though, was how the "conservative" media pushed him all the way. The conservative media's betrayal might be the worst of all.

From the liberal areas like the north east and the west coast then Romney is no problem, he is a liberal on many matters like homo’s planned parenthood etc, where as here in the south and the midwest where the conservative base is then we see things very much differently.

Again, that's a great theory but I think that Romney has actually won MI, OH, WI and IL in the mid-west and FL in the south. He's also come in second in a number of others. Facts are stubborn things.

Indeed. They showed in this election cycle that they are not conservative, but all media. There's not a one of them that I watch or listen to anymore. And I used to be a diehard.

I’m with you Jeff; anybody but obama! He is a proven anti-American marxist (or worse), and any chance of aborting his agenda must be taken pronto before he does any more damage!

I no longer watch Fox News or listen to talk radio, either.

Free Republic and a few other non-mainstream sites are continuing to serve me well, although, not to be critical, but I’m also afraid that even FR itself has declined a bit.

I will not vote for Romney. I would rather get it from a commie in the front than a RINO in the back.

Agreed.

I tend to be a very repetitive person, so I'll say it once again for emphasis...

I will NEVER vote for Mitt Romney!

I will support CONSERVATIVES at every level of government where they run and I have a vote.

Thanks for your reply. I wish I could be as optimistic about Romney as you are. If he wins, I predict we’ll lock horns with him on a regular basis. I expect plenty of Bush-style Amnesty dustups, as well as some Harriet Miers type nominations. Very unpleasant disagreements headed our way, but also very WINNABLE, with the Tea Party in the game. We won those battles against Bush, and we weren’t even organized yet.

I do think there is one genuine positive with Romney: he’s truly worried about China. He is probably for revising our disastrous trade regime with the Chicoms. I think Romney’s views on China are what got guys like Thad McCotter onboard Romney’s campaign months ago. Trump too. I also think Romney does love the country. I consider him profoundly misguided on many issues, but not intentionally malevolent.

The range of opinion that used to characterize the U.S. as a whole up to the 1970’s has shifted pretty much into the Republican party. The dems are now the party of Revolution. Romney is in many ways an old style, centrist democrat. At least Romney has some conservative friends. We’ll have some pull, although not much.

The country is in such dire straits, that whoever fixes things will win fame and glory. Maybe the confluence of circumstance and ambition will drive Romney to places that conviction and principle would not. One of the Henri’s who became King of France during the religious wars converted to Catholicism. Previously, he had been a great Protestant leader. To become King, however, he had to become Catholic. According to legend, he said prior to converting, “Paris is worth a Mass.” Let’s hope Romney says, “Mt Rushmoor might be worth some China tariffs and a justice or two.”

But come Hell or high water, Go Tea Party!! Vote Hobbitt!!

November at best is going to be a repeat of 2008.

When there is a choice between a Liberal Socialist and a Marxist Revolutionary, the greater Socialist is going to win.

Besides, the Propaganda mainstream media office of Obama has worked tirelessly with the Obama regime and the Ruling Class elitists in power to hand-pick the GOP candidate for Obama to run against; Romney.

I’m done playing their shell game, and it’s disconcerting to read so many willing to keep playing their game. I’m reading the same crap and excuses to get behind Romney I read four years ago regarding McCain. That’s the pure definition of insanity right there folks. Why do we deceive ourselves thinking that ‘This time it will be different’??

The Juggernaut of Stalinist Marxism will continue with or without Obama at the helm at this point. Romney is going to CONTINUE to do the Oligarchy’s wishes to turn us into Europe.

Conservatives have no home in any viable political party. So they better get to creating one or forever watch their ideology become criminalized and acted against by those the Ruling Class foists on us.

The GOP brand is dead, killed by treason from within by those who work hand-in-hand with the Marxist Left. It’s not like we did not know this was going on, but like idiots we just keep holding our noses to vote for the Establishment candidate shoved on our necks.

Going rogue, because there is nowhere left to go politically.

Spiritually - better find God now while He can be found, because that is our only salvation at this point.

Romney has actually won MI, OH, WI and IL

Only by outspending Santorum by proportions ranging from 5-1 to 20-1. You can't do that to Obama, with his massive warchest, which is another reason Romney is unelectable.

OTOH, Santorum made a race of those states despite being so massively outspent, which is why he'd have a chance to bring them into the GOP column in November. Romney can't.
