I agree with you. I do not support Romney but I will vote for him. If that gets me banned so be it.
I would rather have a chance of fighting Romney than no chance of fighting the idiot we have now.
Personally, I think it’s likely that we have already passed the point of no return. Whoever our next President is, it seems very likely to me that that person will be presiding over a severe crisis that we cannot yet fully define. It is likely to be the most severe since at least the Civil War, and possibly even worse.
We can’t KNOW that for certain, of course, until after the fact. We have an obligation to keep trying to save the situation. It would be great, for instance, if we could throw out the entire “Republican” establishment and replace it with an actual conservative political party. Failing that, it would be nice to establish a viable third party.
Good luck with that...
.
.
To put it into a familiar word picture:
The Titanic (our nation) has already hit the iceberg. It’s too late for replacing the Captain of the ship to do any good.
The passengers do not yet know the outcome, but the Captain is assuring us that he can solve the problem.
The band plays on, and most of the passengers are determined to ignore the warning signs all around them. But some of the passengers are already heading for the lifeboats.
You don’t KNOW that whatever Romney tries in order to fix things is going to fail. Based on our experiences during the past 3+ years, we KNOW that whatever Obama is going to do is going to further damage our country.
Given a 100% certainty of disaster (if Obama wins) and ANYTHING less than 100% (if Romney wins), I’ll take the less than 100%.
Romney can become our collective enemy after January, 2013. Now, our focus should be on getting that !@(*# Obama out of office.
We are out numbered, the UN is or will soon be in charge of the International World Governments. Those that have not ... will take what America has without so much as recognition of how it came to be. Guns will be registered, then collected, ... It happened in England, Australia (who would have believed that?), etc. I am usually a very optimistic person, the Bible tells us about the terrible times of the very last days ... it is coming. Woe to those that live then. It appears it is us.
Let us believe for the grace of God to forgive America our sins, and turn back to our LORD in true repentance and seek forgiveness. God promises to heal our land if we sincerely do this. There is no other way, in truth.
We are to serve our LORD by obeying loving, praising and worshiping our LORD and His commands. We have turned from God. Help us LORD, we cry out for mercy. In Jesus name, amen.
—Except that the captain of the Titanic went down with the ship. I thought you began the analogy by saying that you didn’t expect Obama to finish his term. —
The analogy was about a single point: No matter who the captain is, the ship is going down. His powers are very limited.
Me, I’m using deck chairs and nails to make my family’s own life raft. I’m not that interested in who the captain is.
Right on my friend and brother!
Thanks for bringing us all back to the real Truth in this entire matter. Yes, it does look like we are the ones that will face this scriptural truth. A truth I have heard since my birth!
Jesus is coming again!
You nailed it FRiend. Thomas Jefferson could win in 2012 and we'd still not have a republic.
If Reagan had won in 1968, it might be a different story. Or, possibly, if he'd picked Kemp in '80. But, this ship sank long ago.
Obama? No. I disagree. He's snubbed the US Constitution with every chance. It's doubtful he will even abide by the USSC decision on Obamacare if that decision is not to his liking. Remember, this man has ignored proving his eligibility. Remember, this man ignores Congress and takes orders from the UN. Sorry, we're not going to block Obama. I have my doubts he'll be out of office after Jan 20th 2016.
We need to vote Obama OUT in a landslide in November and that is NOT going to happen if it's Mitt Romney going against him.
Obama’s powers have no limit at all. The POTUS has limited powers but not Obama. He’s bypassed Congress so many times it’s not funny. How do you block someone who bypasses the rules? We need to vote Obama OUT in a landslide in November and that is NOT going to happen if it’s Mitt Romney going against him.
Agreed that the best way to get a conservative elected to an office is to get a conservative to be a major-party (probably Republican) candidate for that office.
conservatives can not win by voting third-party - it's a throw-away vote that nets nothing.
The only throw-away vote is a vote for a nonconservative. If both major party's candidates fit that description, a third-party vote is the only option - and at least sends a message to the major parties.
Just don’t forget that it’s a crime in Texas to participate in the political primary/caucus of two Parties. You have to choose.
For those of you who want to be Texas Republicans, here’s where to find your County Convention
http://convention.texasgop.org/counties
(If you’re in Senate District 25 and want Donna Campbell for your Texas Senator, let me know!)
I am in SD 7. I shared a stage with Dr. Donna at the Austin Tea Party in 2010 when I was running for governor and she for Lloyd Doggett's seat. She is a classy and dynamic lady. Tell her I said "hello."
Yeah that worked out well. The debt has gone up two trillion and they have stopped and\or repealed nothing.
To Hell with them!
THEY ALL MUST GO!
He bypassed a democrat congress.
Republicans control the House

My feelings exactly... we can't win by voting third party... we can win by forcing PRESIDENT MITT that the CONSERVATIVES in the Senate and the HOUSE will not take BS from LIBERALS and they'll not PLAY NICE with THE MEDIA or with LIBERALS.
We need to get the TEA PARTY to fight, because we need to tell the liberals that America is the SHINING CITY ON THE HILL...and that it is a beacon for the OPPOSED people of theworld!!
LIBERALS (and that includes RINOS) if you want to RUIN a COUNTRY...go to NORTH KOREA... and ruin that country!!
WHY do you expect this. Sorry, I have not seen your earlier statements, so am curious. Are you expecting an impeachment, Moochelle selling him out, something else?
Heard that many times from you... so what's driving that statement?
Majority and seniority means everything in Congress. We need to elect more people like we did in 2010. It took 17 years for the Donks and RINOs to destroy the Reagan revolution. We can't take it all back in one election.
Romney supports homo agenda, wrote a personal check to planned parents hood etc facts are a horrible thing for a romney bot RINO
LOL... it took me a minute to remember the line
he's better than what looks like will be on the ballot
Republicans control the House
There are way too many things trying to pop. From birthers to Israel/Iran to the SCOTUS decision, to him being finally vetted during the election.
I think he may actually melt down on live TV.
BTW, I don’t expect it until late summer or early fall. And as time passes and events unfold, I’m more convinced than ever.
It's not sewn up until the convention, or until he has a clear delegate count of 1144. He's 480 shy, and may not in fact have 1144 by the opening of the convention.
That very much depends on voters in the 17 or so states that have yet to vote, and many more are planning to vote to stop Romney in those states. They can still vote for Santorum, Gingrich and Paul - and I know many are working to make sure the turnout is high in Texas and in other states.
There are very many voters quite angry in those states, because they have not voted, and don't like the top-down declaration of victory for Romeny when in fact he does not have sufficient number of delegates.
Some are starting legal action to put muscle behind their anger over what they see as blatant disregard for law. Who knows what might come of it. Mitty isn't going to have a cake-walk from what I see.
You're not going to find many John Boehner fans here my friend. Nothing had ever been initiated or attempted to put foward anything that would stop him from the House. Never even made any attempts. The House CONTROLS the purse strings.
For that reason alone it's unlikely we will win the Senate.
The other reason is: crowds of Republicans will not be rushing to the polls to vote for a Mitt Romney. Those that stay home (and there will likely be many) will of course not be voting for Senators and Representatives.
Yada, yada, yada...voting AGAINST obama is NOT idolatry. It is rejection of Godless marxists and communists!
JC
“It’s a description of reality. I will never vote for Obama. I will never vote for Romney. Both of them are really bad for this country and I will not lend my support to either—ever.”
That’s fine, so long as you exercise your right to vote, whether 3rd party, write in, or whatever. If you fail that, then I’m not interested in any of your opinions because you have failed to qualify for having a relevant opinion!
JC
Right.. I get that, but what specifically has you convinced he won`t finish out his term?
Nice thought, but forget it. Even if things “pop’, the GOP hasn’t the testicular fortitude to do anything. They’re afraid of being called ‘racists’ more often and louder than ever by every member of the press from national news to the local shopper papers. They’d rather see the nation laid waste than dare accuse this **** of anything other than being a meanie.
While I am for ABO, Romney is a bitter horse pill to swallow.
Both are pro-abortion, anti-RKBA, and pro-"healthcare" (mandated State 'insurance'--state mandated expenditures just because you exist--and ultimately, the determination of whether you will be allowed to continue existing).
I just can't vote for anyone who is against Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, and I really don't give a d@mn what letter trails their name.
From the judicial aspect, Romney has had the opportunity to appoint conservatives to the bench. How well did that work out?
It was bad enough when there was a clear lesser evil to vote for, but now it has become obvious to me that the two sides (D, R) of the same (ever thinner) coin have sold out the People entirely, even while claiming to have our best interests at heart.
The slim thread is that while we KNOW Obama will appoint SCOTUS justices hostile to original intent, and will pack the bureaucracy with others who will ardently usurp power, while we HOPE Romney won't do the same?
This is an unacceptable 'choice', like allowing someone facing a firing squad to choose which rifle gets the blank cartridge, or which power company provides the juice to power up 'old sparky'.
Our hope is not to pack an unconstitutional leviathan with 'favorable assets', but in eliminating that bureaucracy which legislates against our Republic daily with the stroke of a keyboard.
Our hope is not in electing someone who might safeguard a couple of our Rights over someone who definitely will destroy as many as he can. Are we dogs lurking under the dinner table hoping against hope that someone might drop a crumb or scrap so we can scramble for it while those who are supposed to serve us dine lavishly upon the fruits of our labors?
Will Romney, in all his pandering, change that (for the better)? Or will the selfsame policies which have elevated those in positions in Government well beyond even my alleged 'wealth' continue unabated, utilizing my hard-earned resources to subsidize their waste, to subsidize programs doomed to fail (at someone else's profit), to support those who will not (not cannot) support themselves, and to decry and fight against the very means by which I gain my sustenance they so ardently tap?
I have no faith in Romeny to even hold the line, much less set things right. His judicial appointments have favored the Left. His policies as Governor, if taken nationally, are adversarial to my Rights, especially the RKBA, and the Right to NOT subsidize abortion in any form (a deeply held religious belief). Mandating that I conform to even the policies of that State would fly in the face of my deeply held religious beliefs at best, and make an instant criminal of me at worst because there are some edicts with which I simply will. not. comply.
We need a majority in both Houses, and we need those who will take the others to task to fight for the Constitution.
Without that, even if a Republican wins the White House, all they will get is the opportunity to be blamed for the collapse of the dollar (like Bush was blamed for the collapse of the housing market after years of CRA), loss of reserve currency status, widespread civil unrest, the likely demise and balkanization of the Republic, and the worst economic depression in this continent's history.
Since much of that seems likely anyway, (because none in the lineup will undertake the draconian cuts necessary to prevent it), perhaps it would be just as well to let the blame fall on the Marxist/Communist/Socialist/Democrats where it belongs.
—I get that, but what specifically has you convinced he won`t finish out his term?—
I expect this to be a very bad year. From a lot of directions.
—Nice thought, but forget it. Even if things pop, the GOP hasnt the testicular fortitude to do anything. Theyre afraid of being called racists more often and louder than ever by every member of the press from national news to the local shopper papers. Then we’re screwed.
I believe that’s the case one way or another anyway. Heck, I felt that way in 2008 when I told my republican friends they may not want their guy to be president when the biggest economic collapse in the history of mankind happens.
Thing is, I believe we are utterly screwed no matte who becomes president. So that is a relatively low priority issue for me.
Agree with you. The judges alone are a reason to vote for ANY candidate over Obama. To think otherwise is purely foolish.
That is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Not very smart.
Obama and his entire ship; need to sink. . .
(Just caught Obama 'speeching' ; again per his 'ad nauseum' MO. One must seriously consider 'who' is it; that is the real acting President. This is a 'full-time' job; never more than today. This man has spent and still spends; the LEAST amount of time, working in 'Office'. A disgusting performance; by whatever measure, of course.)
So; just 'who' - beyond reach of Soros - is it; that Panetta and Obama answer to?
........yes, I believe so... for it does seem deception rules the day in all courts of play and the enemy has the upper hand.
This election likely has already been determined in many respects, even so we should not cease from fighting for our country until it's a done deal. I still believe God is never late to come into the affairs of men when all seems hopeless.........the question is will HE?..... and time will reveal this once we know who has crossed the finish line of this Primary....to date none have.
We still have three running....Newt Romney and Paul....those our are choices. I will continue to support Newt for he's the only remaining candidate who has the tools, the plan and the ability to take on Obama and Romney to win this.
Should Romney Win I will not be putting aside the principles and beliefs God has made clear, to vote for Romney....a man who we all know hasn't a consistant bone in his body and makes decisions based on the political climate conducive to him at the moment. .....and those decisions are determined by others outside of political arena with a political agenda of their own.
Additionally... what I see going on in the politics today is a climate to create confusion for the voter while the powers that be orchestrate that which is hidden from us. And they are moving rapidly. I'm convinced that the US citizen is the last concern apart from deceiving them and moving them into position for what is to come.
It's been more than a sad day for our country since 9/11....and apart from God determining it's possible for this nation to turn back to Him...then we can expect this nation to continue to be under his judgement.
This election will be the determining factor from our prespective. If Obama/ Romney win...we are indeed going to continue downward.
As far as Obama not going for a 2nd term:
I think the ‘Rats will swap out Obama for Hillary if the economy continues poor. Confuse voters, activate the Rat base with a new candidate and ‘seasoned’ foreign policy Rat candidate, plus they’ll sell it as the first woman-president.
That’s waiting in the wings, always a dumb Rat strategy - to distract us from multiple Trillions in debts, coming bankruptcy.
Just my 2cents.
Is there a tea party in North Carolina?
Thanks. Been there, more Fed stuff than State, nothing there to connect people and move conservative candidates forward. Unless I’m missing something?
If we were to hold our noses and vote Romney (God forbid), we had better not do it without a commitment to get a strong third party going stat.
