The Jury Will Acquit George Zimmerman
04/11/12

Posted on 04/11/2012 9:11:55 AM PDT by AtlasStalled

I’m highly doubtful whether Zimmerman can get a fair trial even if he is charged, and any time the media gets itself into a frenzy over a case the defendant is acquitted: OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, Casey Anthony, etc. I think juries understand that once the media gets involved the only fair thing to do is acquit.

Indeed, look at how the media has unfairly mangled the facts so far in the Zimmerman case.

First the media said Zimmerman was white, and it turns out he’s actually Hispanic.

Then the news media edited the 911 call to make it falsely appear that Zimmerman was equating being black with being suspicious, and it turns out it was the 911 dispatcher simply asking Zimmerman for the race of Martin.

Then the media said Zimmerman used a racial slur on the call but enhanced play of the recording shows he used the word “cold” and not another word.

Finally the media said Zimmerman had no head wound but once the images from his police station visit were enhanced there is a gash shown.

I think it’s highly unlikely that Zimmerman can be convicted given the media circus that has ensued to date, and given how much reporting about Zimmerman has been wrong I only wonder about how more is being falsely presented in the unfair bid by some to railroad Zimmerman.

On voter registration forms, George Zimmerman identified himself as Hispanic

Our police have openly said they plan on simply cordoning off the affected area, and allowing the "disturbance" to continue unabated and localized until it burns itself out. That way, the department minimizes injuries, damage, and civil suits. 9-1-1 will be "unavailable." Everybody and everything inside the cordon is SOL.

I notice that you are in Virginia. In Virginia you would be in a worse position over having to defend yourself in a riot situation than if you were in Florida (FL/VA laws compared).

In Florida (or PA which has similar stand-your-ground laws), you are allowed greater discretion to use deadly force to resist a felony. I could just imagine the police saying "If a riot begins, we will pull out. We will not investigate any shootings of rioters. Ever."

Would not be surprised if there will be a call for FL state police SWAT teams to take care of any possible rioting

Nah. That would be racist.

Would not surprise me if what say comes true. FL is not CA and while there are liberals, there are many conservatives as well, some who do own arms.

You might be right. Eventually, the government will be forced to act in one of these situations. Perhaps this will be the one.

The variable that worries me the most is the New Black Panthers. Their bounty on Zimmerman’s head is troubling, to say the least. Some knucklehead MUST be thinking about that $10,000 prize!

What happens if somebody finds Zimmerman beforehand, for example by tracing his phone calls? Would he face a summary execution (lynching) or just a beating? The “wanted poster” says “dead or alive” and I’ll bet somebody is thinking about the “dead” part first.

Would they try to take Zimmerman out with a sniper, at the courthouse? Zimmerman will need to appear in court, so there is no chance he can stay hidden for long. Does Zimmerman have the sense to ask for a ride to court in an armored SWAT vehicle? Will they go out of state to pick him up?

And what will the JustUs Department do if Zimmerman gets killed before the trial? I expect an apology would be out of the question ...

If Mr. Zimmerman can even be found at all, because he has fled the country.

It would just be bloody and spread to other states. But that parts moot since they have indicted him on second degree murder. The next set of threats will be convict him or else.
