Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) says he's heard that almost half of all the Democrats in Congress are secretly part of the Communist Party.
He offered no names or proof of his accusation.
West told almost 100 Floridians in Palm City on Tuesday that "he's heard" as many as 80 Democrats in Congress are members of the Communist Party, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The freshman Republican, an outspoken conservative and Tea Party favorite, is a longtime critic of the Democratic Party.
At the same event, he charged that President Obama was "scared" to meet with him.
"I really wish that, standing here before you, was Allen West and President Obama," West said, according to the report. "We could have a simple discussion. But that ain't ever gonna happen."
West has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential pick for the 2012 Republican nominee. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley ( R) called him a "good" choice. Sarah Palin has also spoken highly of him.
West said on Friday that he would join the presidential ticket "if it was the right fit."
"The focus is, of course, being a good congressional representative,” West said in an interview with CNN. "But if someone were to make that call to me, which I really doubt is ever going to happen, you would have to make sure that it is something that God would ordain for you, and you’d have to talk to your wife, my wife and my two daughters about. But we have always stepped up to the plate to serve our country. And if it’s the right fit, then I will do so."

From around that same era was the "Minute Women" organization, which was very active in Texas, in particular the Houston area. They exposed Communism at all levels, particularly in the government-run public schools. They were so effective that teachers and top-level administrators were fired from the HISD for their Communist ties. These American Patriots not only had the reds on the run but were also strongly opposed to union thuggery, illegal immigration, socialized medicine and a meddling federal government.
With the Massachusetts delegation it’s closer to 90% (11 out of 12).
There goes his chance to be Romney’s vp nominee.
West is right and most of them are black.

All communists must be sterilized and there are no exceptions!
That's probably a Good Thing. VP candidates on losing tickets hardly ever go anywhere after that. The vice presidency isn't work a bucket of warm spit when it comes to making policy or influencing events anyway, and we'd like to have West available for the top spot in 2020. Assuming we have an election in 2020... and if we don't we'll need a warrior leader even more.

If we'd listened to Tailgunner Joe, and purged all those Reds back in his day, including those in academe, we'd not be in the pickle we're in now.
Good question, I wouldn’t hazard a guess, but it must be significant, particularly in “minority” ranks.
The best thing Allen West would bring to any ticket is national defense gravitas. He’d make Dick Cheney look like a pussy cat.
Sounds like exactly what we need now.

Mr. President, are you a communist?
Brainwashing in the schools, particularly the colleges and universities. They are taught that socialism is compassionate, and of course anyone opposign it is selfish and just plain mean. We had Reds in the colleges in the 1930s, then a bunch more in the early 50s, and a real bumper crop starting in the '60s. Those '60s Reds were the mentors of the current crop, like Obama.
But I do find it discouraging that they can't see the best argument against Communism/socialism,... it's never worked wherever and by whomever, it's been tried. It's not working here either of course.

Or any combination thereof, including all three at once. In fact it pretty much takes an idiot to be both a communist and an Islamist, but there are lots who are.
