They will charge him with something like willful negligent homicide, simply by being a neighborhood watch-men with a gun... they will argue that if he had no gun, he would not have been embolden to "actively persue" Trayvon, even though Trayvon took the offensive and assaulted Zimmerman. They will likely get a conviction too... ain't no jury going to acquit, not against the threat of riots in the streets.

If he goes to trial, Capt. Zimmerman will be found not guilty as juries tend not to convict law enforcement heroes for actions taken while on duty.
