A Florida special prosecutor has decided to charge neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, sources told ABC News.
The decision by Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey is expected to be announced at a 6 p.m. news conference in Jacksonville, Fla.
The prosecutor's ruling is certain to provoke controversy in Sanford, Fla., where shooting took place and across the country.
Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic neighborhood watch captain, shot and killed Martin, who was 17 and black, on Feb. 26 after following the teenager for several minutes.
The special prosecutor's ruling came one day after Zimmerman's legal team quit because they had lost contact with him, and suggested that the pressure of the case had "pushed him over the edge."(continued)

There is no chance this guy gets a fair trial. If I were Zimmerman and I was innocent there is no way in hell I would turn myself in. He has already been convicted and no judge or jury will find him innocent because they don’t want the blood of the riots that would follow an innocent finding on their hands. If this guy is innocent I really feel for him.

Dennis Prager pointed this out a couple of weeks ago when the NYT coined the phrase. He then went out and did a Lexis-Nexis search on the NYT back to 1850 looking for them to have ever used those two words to describe a person.

Have we reached the point in which shooting down an unarmed person in a public place is not sufficient evidence to charge an individual? Issues such as Trayvon and George’s state of mind during the altercation are matters for the jury along with all the physical evidence collected. George’s story is that he shot Trayvon while on his back being assaulted by Trayvon (kind of like Trevor Dooley). Even with those facts in place how the altercation first started is still a matter for the jury including whether Trayvon was justified in using force first because he was afraid for his life?
No surprise. The gun grabbing racists had their president get involved and there was no stopping the fix once the political pressure was on.
I have a feeling this Zimmerman kid will do something rash...

McCoy would have told Brisco and Logan to bring him more evidence to charge Zimmerman with. However, that liberal woman DA would have had him on trial by now.

You may put more value in the life of a thug or bad guy, and turn your life over to same, to let him decide if you live or die, but not me.

Brazil would be nice. If the facts prove him innocent he couldn’t even count on the AG of the US to stand up for him. It’s all about race and he’s the wrong color.
