A Florida special prosecutor has decided to charge neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, sources told ABC News.
The decision by Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey is expected to be announced at a 6 p.m. news conference in Jacksonville, Fla.
The prosecutor's ruling is certain to provoke controversy in Sanford, Fla., where shooting took place and across the country.
Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic neighborhood watch captain, shot and killed Martin, who was 17 and black, on Feb. 26 after following the teenager for several minutes.
The special prosecutor's ruling came one day after Zimmerman's legal team quit because they had lost contact with him, and suggested that the pressure of the case had "pushed him over the edge."(continued)

What makes you think the folks running this show trial to stop a race war give a damn about a fair trial by an impartial jury? This a dog & pony show for the cause of political correctness complete with a preordained verdict.
The game is rigged, the judge will disallow evidence that is helpful to the defense & may even go so far as a directed verdict. Just watch & see for yourself the lynch mob will have its way.
Juries get to decide whether the facts presented during the trial prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the defendant committed a crime.
The judge in the case must not turn over to a jury the power to decide guilt or innocence if the prosecution failed to provide sufficient facts to prove their case.
The presumption of innocence must prevail unless the prosecution can present some evidence that is not consistent with self defense.
What would that evidence be?
It can't be that Zimmerman admitted a racial bias, because the audio tapes of him mentioning race were doctored to hide the fact that Zimmerman never brought up race.
It can't be that Zimmerman showed no indications of injury, because the main stream media failed to report that enhancement of the videos did show injuries.
If there was really evidence that was inconsistent with a claim of self defense, it is extremely likely that we would have heard of it already.
If the prosecution fails to present sufficient evidence that a crime was committed, even if all the facts alleged by the prosecution are believed, then the judge is obligated to dismiss the case. There would be no role for the jury.
And it sounds so ignorant. It is redundant. All hispanics are white. So saying white hispanic is the same as saying white caucasians. I do not know what their motivations are for making themselves look like idiots.

If the city council makes it law that all marchers will be required to put forth liability insurance before a permit will be issued and this is enforced by the towns business and property owners standing firm with loaded shotguns, there will not be a riot.

It is my understanding Zimmerman will not face simple manslaughter but aggravated manslaughter, the aggravating factor being Martin’s age..same as if he had shot a police officer....this carries minimum 25 to life. But wish someone from fla could confirm this.
You mentioned when we were brainstorming the other evening that he had not seen his brother in years.
Maybe the brother is living in South America with his mother’s family. George could join them. He would have duel citizenship just like Obuma. Just sayin......

I guess he could hoosiermama...but is that really constructive? The country he arrives in does not have to accept him and might not because he is facing aggravated manslaughter probably. And since we are not asking for death penalty, even if he gets into the country, most likely, wont they extradite him?

I don't have a better solution.
Our differences are deeply fundamental, and wholly intractable.
I hope the ‘judge’ sues the pants off those who put his son in this situation. They NEED suing - every last one!! And let his son live in luxury for the rest of his life.
